"It all comes down to the money
Whether it's rainy or snowy or sunny
Funny, but it all comes down to the money
I'm in it
I'm in it for the cash
I'm in it for the cash"

We best be pulling out every stop in the book for Lamela now. Levy can barely justify moving Bale on with just the arrival of the aforementioned, so let's hope Baldini can pull something huge out of the bag.

On the bright side, this probably means we won't be selling Townsend. Really looking forward to seeing him smash a few in.

Sandro right lg, Capoue left leg .... why people angry at Jose, its Willian thats a scummer, u-turning , he had the ability to say no,. but the little money grabbing and as ive always said not just a reaction, i dont want him and not for that kind of money! screw and let him rot in the reserves or in the medical room after SanCapow sandwich hahahaha!!!!

Apparently Sandro just unfollowed Willian on Twitter. Legend!

Shame there are no other ball playing creative AM's in world football for £30m or less isn't it?

I still don't buy the fact we didn't know about Chelsea's interest.

You cant tell me that we had him in the office ready to sign then all of a sudden Kia's mobile goes off and it's Roman on the other end.

That shit is reserved for Harchester United.

I think it would have been more like he passed his medical with us, obviously planned to sign whatever documentation was needed or here what terms we were offering etc. and whilst being at his London hotel Chelsea got ahold of his agents, so he still planned to further listen to us but obviously then wanted to hear from Chelsea as well. If Chelsea's interest was known at an earlier time he wouldn't have gone as far as having a medical with us. I well and truly think they just virtually snatched him from us.

It's easy to feel like that, but we're swimming with the big fish now, and there aren't a whole lot of players around at that level. There are a lot of teams around with a lot of money. We don't have as much money, so we've got to stop f*cking about and playing by the rule book.
Deal should have been signed subject to medical. He should never be flaunting around on tv till it's done.
Move onto the next one. We'll have a list of targets. The top one is gone.
This!

Extremely disappointing to miss out on Willian, obviously AVB really wanted him, but thats how it goes. We`ve done well so far this window so hiccupps to be expected along the way. Balls out now for Lamela I guess.

I liked the sliding scale of 1-10 on deals mentioned earlier. Can't recall who it was raised it...sorry.
I don't mean that ITKs should quantify their information, just that it's useful to keep in mind.
ITK "done" should be treated as a 9...a 10 is when its on the OS.
We should celebrate at 10.

Classic Mourinho TBH - screws up our immediate transfer plans and probably more importantly to him, throws a potential spanner in the works for the GB transfer. There's no denying he'd do anything to **** up RM given how he believes he was treated over the last few years.

Plenty of other fish in the sea...........................we hope!

It really wasn't.

As far as the club were concerned it was done. Everything agreed, paperwork being processed, photos taken, etc.

I know "done" is a dangerous phrase to use but if you want ITK info before it's on the club website then you have to accept that sometimes the definitions are looser then we'd like.

It's not often you see me sticking up for POTL which probably says it all :p

Spot on. Anelka was also 'done'.

A few things that have occurred to me over the last 24hrs, just to put things in perspective.
Last night we had a good win over, a limited granted, but stubborn team. Sigurdsson didn't quite perform, but Townsebd grabbed his opportunity with both hands. Chadli also impressed in his brief cameo. Soldado was quiet, but when given a chance, showed his killer instinct. Paulinho and Capoue were rock solid in the middle, composed and powerful.
Anyhow, onto the issues/ITK at hand. The comments above are relevant.
Willian. Good player, but £30m can get you other good players. He wasn't our player, so technically we haven't lost anything if he does go to Chelsea. They are doing what we have done to Liverpool. With the time left and cash to spend, I have every confidence Baldini can recruit someone of equal ability or greater potential. Before Anzhi announced their sale, he wasn't really someone we were thinking of.
Looking at where we were when the January window closed, to where we are now, that is a huge transformation, a positive one at that.
At the time of writing, Willian has not confirmed to us or Chelsea, so time will tell, but personally I still think he'll come, but if he doesn't, I won't be getting depressed about it, or even angry, I'll just look forward to who Baldini conjures up next.
