So all this talk about Lamela. I always assumed he was a big African powerhouse.

I must pay more attention to leagues outside our own....just seen him on Youtube.

my wife asks why i follow the ITK when it generally seems to make me miserable

"why don't you just wait until the club say who has signed and been sold" she says

can someone explain why such a logical argument is so hard to actually put into practice?

Because we're all impatient bastards.

Ask her why she isn't making you a sandwich.

It's the NTK innit?....

I'd explain it to her as;

"That lovely dress you've been eyeing up for weeks might be in the sales next week. Do you want to wait until it is in the sale and run the risk of it being sold out, OR, would you rather be ITK and prepared to be outside the shop 9am on sale day? This NTK could get you the dress..."

But you may try the dress on, like it and take it to the till, pay the money and as you're getting the receipt some bird from Chelsea comes along and offers more money for it and has it instead! Now tell me, how annoyed would you be?

Siggy isn't that much of a creative player even if he has some creativity, however he is an excellent goal threat at advanced midfield position, but to make some use of that we ought to have some creativity on flanks and from central midfield.

We are talking about our Gylfi Sigurðsson fair haired guy about 6 foot?

Why dont we just bid for a proper no 10 like Michu

I don't know where people getting this notion that we need a no 10 - AVB has said on more than one occasion that he is looking to play 433 this season. What we need is a player on the left with guile and creativity to contrast with the more direct wing forward we will be employing on the right. This is why Willian would have been perfect.

In any case, Michu is not someone I would describe as a proper number 10.

He said in an interview this week we would use 4231, 433 and 442 so i can see why we would be after a #10
Cant find the link for the interview though.

Why don't we stop going on about what we don't have and focus on what we do have. I think this transfer window has got everyone over excited and losing site of perspective. We have already made 4 fantastic signings and we're still actively looking to sign more before the window closes.

Lets be honest with ourselves, we would not have expected us to sign the likes of Paulinho or Soldado when we missed out on 4th place. I doubt anyone would have even expected us to be in for Willian after missing out to Anzhi. As soon as we start signing great players it seems everyone suddenly expects every great player linked to be signed.

Come back down to earth people. We have a great squad that we should be grateful for. We're already stronger than last season. The signings we've made are an upgrade, Kaboul is like a new signing, the likes of Rose and Townsend are back from succesful loan spells and looking ready for the first team squad. Once Sandro returns we're even stronger overall in midfield with both in the squad together (rather than half a season each).

More importantly we're well prepared now to finish above the gooners and make it back into the Champions League.

BBC3 reporting that Ben Affleck is replacing Bale. Can he play the number 10 role?

Edit - replacing Christian Bale as batman, not Gareth Bale at spurs.
