He fits in the profile young talented and within budget we have been encouraged that's what I will say .
That's interesting. I hope there's actual interest from Zaniolo to come and play for us, more than just encouragement from the agent/reps to discuss wages and use that as leverage for a better contract renewal from Roma.

I'd be delighted with this. Conte compromises on RWB but with a player he still really likes. The club bring in a player for Conte that still fits the desired club criteria.

Win win.

Zaniolo has 1.5 years left on his contract.

If he's not signing a new one, there's definitely a deal to be done.

But as we've seen with Bastoni, it's difficult to persuade young Italian players to leave Serie A.

But if WLB has said we've been given encouragement that's great news.

So Porro as the compromise at RWB and Zaniolo as a signing that everyone's happy with? Could live with that

I think it will be a different situation. As mentioned Zaniolo has struggled for form this season and has been shuffled around the front 3 so i think he'd feel quite positively about a move even if he now has a good relationship with Jose. That coupled with the Italian connection Conte, Paratici etc will be very attractive to him id think. Plus i don't see any Italian team who are as big as us going for him. I don't see him at AC and Juve are in all types of trouble. If we really want him i think we will get him. Just a question of if we are willing to deal on the price they set.

@Finchyid

That's twice you've been asking ITK questions. We don't want this. Please read the rules where the policy is also explained. Thanks

This is exactly what I expected and assumed. No reason he would change his mind. Still hasn’t signed a new contract. I hope we can get it done although i will add he hasn't had a good season. Only one goal and has struggled being pushed to the left to accommodate Dybala. Roma would like to keep him tho. Still, with his contract situation, this will be the last window they can get any reasonable fee for him.
Think he was also injured for a stint too (again!), though it was unrelated to his biscuit knees.

Yeah he had a shoulder injury towards the start of the season. It was a nasty injury and not anything to worry about in regards to his normal injury like you say. And he is currently recovering from a minor knock to his knee but hes expected to play on the weekend i believe.

Edwards has never been against returning to Spurs and the main reason why he was released was to help develop his game. However he’s still not 100% convinced returning to spurs would be
the best option for his career and seeks certain assurances.
