I think the reason why people don't stick to the thread rules completely as they stand is because there isn't much ITK info coming out, so not much to discuss. In the summer it was nightmare, you'd not look for 15 mins and another 25 pages would have appeared but thats not the case this window.

Also, this is the place where most of us plonk ourselves for the day when we're at work or at home because we look forward to a bit of ITK but also because it's the only thread with lots of people on so you can actually have a discussion. I've stuck stuff on other threads and waited a week for any response to my point, if i indeed get one. Now that could well be becasue i so succinctly made my point that i killed off anyone elses opinion or thoughts but i doubt it (having argued with myself over many a thing in my life!) so its just sort of become the sites chat room with an occasional bit of ITK.

Now that may be right or wrong but it certainly makes the day go quicker and i enjoy most of what goes on in here. Beers all round!(y)

Oddly enough, I had a dream last night. It's odd, because I never have dreams.

Anyway, Levy sacked AVB and replaced him with Real Betis' Benat. I know, I know, don't ask - it was a dream.

The weirdest part was I was then sat with them at a game in the stands (Levy & AVB) and AVB wasn't even bothered, in fact they seemed to be great friends.

Then I woke up.

Best lay off the weed before bed tonight I think.

Levy probably made them put a pic up from training last week so as not to ruin our bargaining position...

You're supposed to assume what you should assume with all ITK. Take it with a pinch of salt rather than over analyising the choice of words. He trusted what he was told 'at the time', the injury then cleared up. Wether this is what happened or not I have no idea, but is it so impossible to the extent that he's upset a few people who expected it to be 100% accurate?

I don't think it's about the accuracy.

It's more about the fact that when someone says 'player x is definitely injured' and they aren't, dress it up however you like, in any walk of life, that's a lie.

If he'd have said 'I've been told that player x is injured' - different outcome.

It seems ITK are like women, say one thing, mean another.

But like I said, our fault for believing, lesson learned.

Pinch. Of. Salt.

about all this talk of JD injury, I'm pretty sure that it won't confirmed in any way (if there's an injury) before we have signed a striker. If Levy has been telling every agent around that we are operating with an very small budget, he sure as hell don't want us to look more desperate with frontman options.. So if there is an injury JD will propably sit out next weekend and AVB claiming to give him a rest.

If this happened the media wouldn't need a quote or confirmation that JD was injured. Giving your only striker a rest? Would never happen

There was also the twitter thread, which usually was filled up with all the BS, becoming 4-5x longer than the itk thread.

I checked out the properties of the Defoe Pic on the website, and they have done a good job of cleaning up most of the information (date of picture, camera type, origin etc).
Having said that, they have all been cleaned, so nothing overly ominous there....

All this will stop when we get some good ITK and a signing, we would then actually have something to talk about.

Lets hope we do.

I had an MRI the other month and three hours later I was playing five a side. The point of that mind numbingly boring story is that just because you have an MRI it doesn't mean you are 'injured' and unable to do anything/train/play football.

Mine was to look for nerve damage in my neck as I keep getting shooting pains. Now this didn't stop me being active and it could be something very similar with JD. Got some sort of niggle somewhere so they have had a look. Just because he had an MRI doesn't mean he is out. Vice-verse just because he is training doesn't mean he didn't have an MRI.

Maybe Defoe has also had 'shooting' pains? :)
