It's been confirmed that the Goat's ITK refers to Onomah and Edwards, so we're safe to stop guessing now lads

Josh is rated as the best player by our coaches at every age group. However sometimes timing can be wrong, injuries etc. Breaking into the Spurs first team right now is almost impossible. A move could kick start his career. I’m sure if he was sold we’d defo have a buy back option. Personally I’d prefer if he was loaned out for another season where he can play regularly, it’s only a matter time before it clicks for him and the world sees his talent.
If we can't find squad space for a home-grown youngster who is rated the best player by our coaches at every age group, particularly in a position where we badly need non-destroyer options, then I question the point of the Academy.

Not questioning the ITK, for avoidance of doubt.

Not sure to be honest. I question the kid. He's had a fair few chances and also had a season in the Championship. Not really impressed. Even the Villa fans have said he's not that great.

He's had barely any chances in CM for us.

I don't know whether he has or not but do you not think that Poch will have played him in that position in training games against the first 11 or similar. Maybe it's because he doesn't stand out ( enforce himself) in those situations that he's not given game time as a CM. As I say I don't know but would think it's logical to expect that scenario from the coaches to test him and his mentality/attitude.

feels like we are all getting angsty as it's a Monday and we want to see progress. Good to see the ITK is hinting that things are hotting up, be it contracts, progression, or signing.

However the inner fan is at the pointing at club to hurry up, appreciate we run a water tight ship and therefore somethings are still on the low down. Obviously these deals are not just worked on in the final few days - but hoping a lot of the big-boy shopping is now done and we can get someone great in. Herc's risk section (about taking it, and holding it by getting the incomings done before external) gives me comfort that we can get our incomings done, and then have overseas loans-to-buy post UK window closing for the deadwood.

What annoys me is the likes of Everton, Wolves etc are splashing 30-50m a time on players yet we seem to bulk at these figures.

And you may be right, I was speaking hypothetically based on the Goats info.

Its not something I have heard about personally but the point stands, of those we have let go we haven't regretted any. As for buy back clauses it's not something that happens outside of Spain really, and it's certainly not something I have known to happen between domestic clubs over here.

Yeah I know, let’s close the thing down. What’s it ever given us hey?

He obviously hasn't earned it.

I wonder how peoples responses would be if we were to sell Dembele and start the season with Winks &a Onomah as our midfield duo seeing as people are so concerned with rumours that he might be off. You can't have it all your own way.

If Onomah stays and we spend like most to replacing Dembele, he's not even making the bench. It would be ideal to see him go on loan again but if a good offer comes in and we insert a buy back option I don't really see what the issue is or would be

If Onomah and Edwards move on we're still jammed up for squad places which probably explains us looking at Lewis Cook.

Not sure if it's related to Rebrabs comments but media are now reporting we are looking to sell 7 players including raising 30 mill for Janssen and LLorente. If it's not related I'll delete as I'd rather not miss out on final 2 weeks.

Its the hope that kills....last month we were enjoying the world cup, celebrating Poch and Kanes new contracts, and looking forward to the "Brave" new era that we were told about, fast forward to the last week of July and we have made absolutely ZERO progress in the transfer market, I understand that we been advised that we have to off-load some players first to balance the wage bill, but its not like we have the biggest wage bill in the premier league ?, Levy's prudence and dithering in the transfer deals have left us frustrated and irritated, and it is inevitable that our dealings will go down to the last day, apart from a few contract re-newels in-between, as this seems to be the tactics to appease the fans. Levy will come in for some severe criticism if we make a poor start to the season and he will have no-one to blame but himself.

On who though? £50m on Richarlison? What? Really? Wolves are doing well in the market, they have money to burn, but you just know that the Premier League is a big step for them. Yes done well, but I can see them finishing 9th-14th.

I have no qualms about being patient with Spurs in the transfer market so long as we are signing the right players. 2 and a bit weeks to go.

We have one of the best squads, are one of the best run clubs financially, have one of the best up and coming managers globally as well as the Worlds deadliest striker in our ranks and some people still aren't happy. I understand being disheartened about a lack of signings but really if we can't find players that are financially within our means that are better than the current crop are what do you expect the football club to do? We've been punching above our weight for a few years now and with the extentsions signed and lined up we've secured our ability to do so over the next few years, by then of which we'll be completely integrated into our new stadium and be a completely different animal to the one we are now or one most of us have ever known Tottenham to be.

This group are helping us claw back who Tottenham are, even if we don't sign a worldie we are in a shape that I've never see Tottenham be and it's a long way off the days when I first saw them with Andy Turner in their team playing Oldham at home.

People need to chill. Don't lose sight of how well our football team has done and the huge steps taken over a relatively short amount of time without an oil tycoon or blood money being invested. We've shown teams all across the land that you can achieve if you just use a bit of tact instead of throw all on the roll of a dice.

I want players but Christ you'd think we finished 8th place last year and that all of our players were shit and about 32.

One or two for growth and options, all will be good

Have we made zero progress or are we (as fans) simply not aware of the progress that has been made?
