36 and been thru and seen enough shit spurs teams and chancer managers and players in my time. we have for first time in many a year to put serious proper team together, harry knows that , i know that, many proper spurs observers know that. lets hope levy does and he gets finger out and takes a chance

Levy is incredibly lucky that he took over as Spurs chairman at exactly the same time things began to pick up for us isn't he?

I don't know why but I really do think Levy will try for Eto'o.
Probably to make a statement of intent to everyone in football.

glenn hoddle . legend as a soccer player , joke of a manager. in fairness thing started to turn around in 2005 with club bringing in players like thudd lennon dawson and the like so its been been steady improvemnet since. we then fell back with end of jol and ramos even though he won us a trophy albeit been in latter stages of cup when he arrived. best decsion he made was appoint harry so far. but nows the time to show some ambtion and show club mean business and not be also rans. thats all im saying. to me he hasnt proved it yet - we need big strikers which cost money , go and get them!

Juventus appear to be closing in on the biggest deal of the summer so far with Sky Italia reporting they have agreed terms with Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero.

Would have loved Aguero, great player and I think Juve will be a big success next year.

Even Hoddle initially was an improvement on the previous years of Francis, Gross, Graham which saw us field such superstars as (in no particular order) Andy Sinton, Ben Thatcher, Paolo Tramezzani, Stuart Nethercott, David Howells etc. Under Hoddle we at least began to play some decent football.

Then when it was obvious Hoddle was not working out Levy got rid of him and though it took him some time implemented the DoF structure which helped advance the club at a rapid rate.

won't argue with you there, fair point. howells was good player though but u left out austin and edinburgh and vega and so on.. some awful shit... but now we are in position to kick on again so lets go for it a bit. we are already regretting not getting big striker last summer lets not do it 2 years in row. we are year older, wiser and better for it but we need to push on otherwise its two steps back and big players gone

Is he mocking the thought of them being at the lodge... Or agreeing with it?

Yeah we need a striker, but could you blame Levy for being hesitant in backing Harry big when his last 3 striker signings have been Crouch, Keane and Defoe to the tuune of £30m?

The list of dross that played for us in the 90's is incredible, too many to list, almost too painful to think about.

I am sorry to rise to it, but it's embarrassing. What more can Levy do?? "pull his finger out?" that's a joke. When there has been a time to spend he has spent. We could have gone down two years ago. He bought in Keane, Defoe, Palacios and Chimonda in one window. Think these were "levy" signings? I am sure he to swallow some pride to get those boys back. We are now a top 5 club, without spunking millions and risking the clubs future. That you ask for more is alarming. How ungrateful can you get? In truth there are maybe five clubs in the world who can "take a risk" and spend 40 mil on one player. We ain't one of them. Should we aspire to be? I say no, but im old fashioned.

There shouldn't be a set of fans in england who wouldn't prefer Levy to the clown they have in the top seat. Pipe down.

well they got us in top 4 well defoe and crouch did mostly but we missed out last year. but crouch and defoe did improve us from where we were at end of 2008. crouch is not woeful, uselful option to have. we need striker either way no matter who is in charge. and levy has the wedge to do that not harry.

Cheers for the recommendations. So tell me this... Are we privy to any of the ITK's sources, or is that strictly off limits?
