Interesting JJ saying a loan move would be good for Pritchard as he doesn't think he'll play much.
JJ's always been a little down on Pritchard though so there may be personal opinion in this.

Poch was pretty clear in the Oz Q&A -

'Yes of course,' Pochettino said. 'He is in our plans for next season. He starts pre-season when he gets back from the Euros and we are looking forward to having him back after a successful loan with Brentford.'

We have the youngest squad in the league though, Pritchard is only 1 year younger than Eriksen, had a fantastic season last year in a gruelling league, he is ready.

If Ali is ready so is Pritchard, cannot see him going out on loan... But cannot even see the ITK on it, did I miss a page?

will be gutted if pritchard goes out on loan considering our creativity has been the square root of fuk all so far. he's a potential game changer as he's always keen to try something and personally i'd prefer to play someone like that over others who simply play 5 yard sideways/backward safe passes. needs to be in the matchday squad and getting little cameos from the bench at the very least.

after last season he'd have been chomping at the bit to play. letting that go to waste would be a big mistake.

I just think it's silly though because of what he can offer us.

We should keep him for now. We can always re-assess the situation in January if he's not playing as much as we would like.

That would be the senisble thing to do, but it wouldn't be the end of a transfer window without us leaving ourselves short due to seizing a good development opportunity (seems good PL loans don't crop up often). Townsend on loan a few January's back springs to mind...

Eriksen, Chadli, N'Jie, Townsend, Pritchard, Berahino (if signed), Dembele, Alli and Lamela.

I've no idea why people are saying if we sold Lamela we should replace with X.
If he was to go that leaves 8 players fighting it out for 3 spots. Whether you rate the options or not it's not close to being thin numbers wise. Take more than Lamela leaving in my opinion to see Berahino and another attacking midfielder coming in.

I was so optimistic 3 months ago that our transfer plan was completely sorted and solid. It started so well. Now it feels like we have gone back to a bit of a hit and hope based process, or at the very least we werent as prepared or ready as we believed...

I'm hoping things all come together. Won't be as early as we all wanted it to happen, but we don't know the reasoning for that. I still think well get what we all know we need eventually....

It appeared to be opinion, but also possibly knowledge of Pritchard just not getting much game time.

Personally, I think as long as he gets starts in the cups, he'll push up into the league squad. Given how turgid our play often is, I think we'll very quickly see just how much impact his dynamic nature of play can hold.

As I said a few weeks ago, way too many people jumped the gun because we sold like 3 players in a space of a week... It was pretty blatant we would be in the same situation we are always in come the end of the window.

I thought we made an error loaning Holtby out as well last season. Just meant we had to shoehorn Paulinho in at 10, and that experiment quickly failed.

Twitter q&a's probably annoy JJ just as much, if not more, than sc q&a's. And all twitter q&a's are is a way of circumventing the SC rules on q&a's. So I say, we ban twitter q&a's also and if the culprit is an SC member, they dont even get a warning. Auto ban for knowingly circumventing the SC rules for personal gain.

You know, he can just not reply. It isn't a Q&A until he gives the A

Am I the only one who's quite excited over the fact that we literally have no idea what's going to happen over the next week?

Will we sign Berahino? Who will be the DM to come in? Will Lamela leave? If so, does this mean there will be another attacking player coming in? Will Ade finally fuck off?

There's not been too much rock solid ITK on various things like the above, so it just leads to a sense of anticipation and curiosity.

I know that it's very possible that I could end up disappointed, but fuck it, I'm kind of enjoying this uncertainty with just a week to go.
It's strange, because on the other hand it could go horribly wrong as well.

With the latest ITK we could fail on one or two targets and then end up leaving ourselves short by cutting the squad unnecessarily. I think the word to use for this week would be 'interesting'.

PL loans are a significant progression, most of the time PL loans lead to the players returning and pushing on. Walker, Townsend,, Rose, even Carroll, Naughton and Caulker (until he had a rift) all examples of this. I can see why we'd go for it.

Championship loan and I'd be up in arms, but this has merits.

I was hoping he'd stay however as he has a lot about him.
Oh I totally get that but are we going to loan out Nigel too? He has no prem experience. Is 19 and only played a handful of games last season.

Pritchard is going nowhere while we've still got Townsend and Carrol in the squad.

He did say 2 weeks ago Soldado was in this plans for this season too

I said at the time, you don't become a better team by selling as we were a few months back. Its simply about who you buy to play in your team. And as yet we have 1 first team starter in. Window open 2 months so far
