Chill. I'm sure he's being ironic because there is a strong possibility it happens as we've seen this all before.
He's not though, and I could've guessed the people who agreed with him as they're always the same. More interested in Levy bashing than the club doing well. ALWAYS the same people and it's boring as fuck. And surprise surprise @Rogmeister has disliked this post without telling me why... You guys aren't fans. Any fan would want us to win at all costs, even if it proved us wrong on an internet forum. I do hope you guys never get to games because we don't want that toxic shit at the ground.

There's still a week left and it looks like it could still turn out to be a good window. I'm all for calling Levy out if he doesn't back Conte, but looking forward to the day you can say, "I told you so" really?

I am surprised at the way some fans on here act, who says that Amrabat isn't going to be a good player? Have Spurs ever signed a player not rated highly but turned out to be a great signing? Sometimes a player doesn't fit in at a particular club god knows we have sold enough players that were considered bad players here but went on to be good players for other clubs and then we have the players we have signed considered class players who have got here and turned out to be a total waste of big money, if we are to sign Amrabat then the very least we should do is back him and hope he turns out to be class, under Conte there is always that chance.

I agree, lets wait until the window finishes. But if we finish the window short and of broken promises, fans have every single right to Levy bash.

In reality nobody on here knows the square root of cack all about Amrabat, so I wouldn't take the screeching, crayon eating, and amateur freelance scouting reports too seriously.

meh. We have a terrible track record and wonder why any starlet would WANT to sign for us based on how many have progressed to first team football.
Well, you could argue that all of the following became full England Internationals after coming through our academy or signing at a young age as a cheap / youth purchase

Kyle Walker
Danny Rose
Harry Winks
Dele Alli
Harry Kane

I actually totally agree with you. But maybe under the new regime we can do better? We don't have a good record of buying expensive players who then make a huge difference to us. Maybe under the new setup it will be better. Both are a gamble

So, nobody who's made their debut in the last 7 years, then?

Kane, Skipp, Winks, Tanganga, Walker-Peters
Youth transfers- Dier, Dele, Walker, Rose

And more to the point, who are the ones we've let slip through our fingers? There will be some who go on to other things because they can't make that next step at the club, like the lad at PSV, but every club has that (look at Sancho at City), but I can't think of one who we genuinely regret letting go too early.

I'm hardly blown away by the Amrabat link but assuming the info coming out of Italy is correct then Conte is happy with him then is in fact 'backing' Conte.

For me 'backing' Conte this window is the following:

1- Bringing in Adama
2- Signing a quality attacker - Diaz or similar
3- Shifting Ndombele and GLC and bringing in 1 or 2 CMs to replace (loan for Amrabat makes sense)
4- Sell/loan away anyone else he is unsure on - Dele, Rodon, Gil, Doherty
5- Look at quality LCB, RWB and CM options for now or the summer
6- Keep Bergwijn if Conte wants to

We don't have to spend £150m net on 5-6 players this window to #backconte, we just need to make a strong start on the squad overhaul for him. 3-4 in and 3-6 out does that.

It's good to hear we are busy, this is a massive week for the club.
Good post. Adding some numbers to your post:
1. This look sfeasible - one tick
2. Worried this might be quite tough - big question mark
3. Difficult - big question mark
4. Might be a little tough - small question mark
5. Am sure they're looking, but execution, as we've seen, is tricky
6. Easiest of them all, albeit I'd suppose conditional on incomings

So the plan is sensible, but lots of execution risk

Yes a lot that can go wrong there. I hope our negotiation teams can pull it off.

On the outgoings at least there seems to be more interest than in prior windows, and we seem keen to just get people out on loan if necessary. I'm somewhat encouraged there.

Fairly confident two of the three main out's will go as they are getting close, along with Joe who also has a few clubs interested in taking him.

I'll be interested to see If Joe is simply a loan and if he has any future or whether it just simply hasn't worked out. Feel for the kid.

Yeah a bit, he's not exactly been doing every thing he can or been asked to do to get his opportunity at times though. I can sort of see why he's been overlooked a little. Maybe that's in part out of frustration etc, and I'm not totally blaming the kid. Just needs to move on now for everyone's benefit.
