  • Spurs will look to make a move for Filip Kostic. Should be cheap as he's in the last year of his deal. Confident a deal can be done
  • Forster should be announced soon
  • Conte and Paratici like Alessandro Bastoni and it seems he is the top target for CB but it will be a tough/expensive deal to do. Lots of names on the LCB list
  • Spurs like Alex Scott (no, not the BBC presenter), 18-year-old midfielder from Bristol City. Maybe buy and loan back
  • Kane is very excited about everything that is going on. Not thinking about moving from Spurs at all, purely focused on winning trophies with Spurs. Loves Conte, may be open to a new contract if ambition continues
  • Bulk of £150m will go to summer transfer window. 'Pretty much all of it', as well as player sales, CL revenue
  • Scarlett and Devine likely to go out on loan next season. Had some offers from Championship sides but League One will likely be better for their developments
  • Thinks a fair few signings will be done before the pre-season tour

RE: Scarlett and Devine - I hope that we can send both of them to the same League one club. I was impressed with how MK Don's managed Parrotts development and I imagine they'll be an option for both players as long as Liam Manning, the MK Don's manager, is Interested.

Where did it go? The whole thread just disappeared
I can't find it either, I was catching up on the thread and now it's just disappeared. Can one of the mods archive it or lock it so it can still be accessed and read? Also in the Jan window we had a wishlist thread that kept a lot of the waffle out of here. If the mods dont want the scouting thread kept open while the window is open, can we have another wishlist thread?

As I see it, one of the important parts of development loans is to throw them into the deep end on their own, get them out of their comfort zone. I think loaning them to the same club would counteract that.

Real shame.
was probably one of the best threads, with really insightful posts from @delawarespur , @Ghost Hardware and @jlunduski amongst others.
Would be a shame to lose all that knowledge about players, especially if it’s going to be traded for some of the Twitter waffle we get in player threads

It's behind a paywall but we want Bissouma according to The Times. The relevant bit reads:

"Tottenham and Aston Villa have renewed their interest in Yves Bissouma, the Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder who has a year left on his contract and is expected to cost around £30 million. Villa bid more than Tottenham for Bissouma, 25, in January."

Have to believe that we’d only be interested if we’re confident he’s going to be cleared of any wrongdoing.

Would be an absolutely exceptional signing at £30m

This is written by Gary Jacobs too, who has been very reliable for us as of late?

He dominated us when he played us recently. Think he would be a fantastic signing. Though the obvious court case is something that’s hanging over his head however I doubt he would be playing football if it were likely to amount to anything.

I'm sure I read somewhere this case was expected to be a case of mistaken identity. I'm not even sure if its still hanging over him.

As a player he really looked the part against us this season, and his return to the Brighton team seemed to coincide with them getting some big scalps.

If we could bring in Eriksen and Bissouma that would give us a great set of CM options.

Bissouma, PEH, Bentancur, and Skipp would be some set of midfield options.

We'd be horrible to play against.

It’s a good point. Compared to the cases of Mendy and greenwood who were suspended by their clubs immediately, it feels like there must be something different which has allowed him to play for Brighton whilst this has been going on

Agreed. Potter doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that would continue playing him if there were any chance he had committed such an offence.

Haven’t Villa already bought a midfielder?

I don't see how you've made that connection. We have a history of sending 2-3 of our youth players on loan to the same club and it has yielded some success for us, be it the player made it to the 1st team or the player was sold on for a profit (even a nominal one).

Tom Carroll & Harry Kane - Leyton Orient (2010/2011)
Jake Livermore & Ben Alnwick - Leeds ( 2010/2011)
Harry Kane & Ryan Mason - Millwall ( 2011/2012)
Ryan Mason, Grant Hall, Alex Pritchard - Swindon (2013/2014)

The number of players we send out on loan to one club is significantly less important than where we send them. That's what the club has struggled with recently, outside of Skipp's loan, we've had a long series of loans that didn't work out for our players.
