We seem to finally have a proper roadmap for what we want to achieve, reminds me of Contes original quote:

"If you don’t have a good foundation, if you don’t create a good structure, then we speak about nothing. You can only hope. You start the season and you have to hope to win the Carabao Cup, you have to hope to win the FA Cup, you have to hope to win the league. You have to hope for a Champions League place. You have to hope.

"Instead, if you work with a vision, if you work very hard, if you start to build a good foundation, a good structure … then you had hope but [now] also [you have] the possibility the match to win.
THIS till the cows come home. Applies to everything. Likely going to print and frame at work

If we get Perisic, Forster, Eriksen and Spence, that's four required positions filled. With an average cash outlay of £5-10m each (?) after signing-on fees, agents, and whatnot?

Then you still have almost all the Enic investment, UCL money, AND outgoing sales. All for a CB and a forward.

Tbh it feels like we could have managed fairly well even without the Enic cash. It's not like club would struggle with financing, cashflow or obtaining cheap credit. And the above list seems well within scope if the club's past transfer activity is a guide.
To be clear, I don't know if this is the current list of positions needed to be upgraded, and i cant find the reference to ITK stating it right now. Would guess that any outgoings might change that as well. Do remember Trix saying that if we are going to sell two CBs, we will need to bring in at least one more after Bastoni.

It will be odd if we manage to tie up our defensive incomings within the first two weeks of the season ending. Will leave the rest of the window to get a CM, forward and do our sales. Wtf are we going to do with ourselves all summer if we can’t complain about leaving it last minute and missing out on targets.

Good young talent, not sure he’s quite ready yet so would be interesting what our thinking is, who do we bin off out of Doherty & Emerson or are we getting rid of both and bringing in Spence and another RWB.

Tricky one as Doherty was on fire before he got injured and Emerson is constantly improving and was only signed last summer so not sure Paratici will want to give up on him just yet given his age and potential to keep improving. I don’t think either are the level we need to compete in CL and for PL and other trophies so If Spence is coming in then I’d like to see another better RWB on top of that and it seems strange to me as Spence is similar age to Emerson so are we signing spence for homegrown rule and future potential I wonder.

If we get Perisic as Trix alluded to last night then that will be the benchmark for world class wing back play!

Exciting times, keep it coming guys. ?

Conte was very clear publicly that he wanted backing this window and early. Perisic, Bastoni, Forster and Spence if last night/todays ITK doesn’t get derailed, is a very strong start. Given the first two on that list are Conte ‘favourites’ you’d have to assume that the talks went better than just ‘I’ll come back next season’. Maybe a bigger clearer commitment will come from him (imagine the ramifications of him signing an extension) once the club show they have the same level of commitment by delivering him (early) a squad to compete at the big table. As Herc said, acting like a big club. I think it’s fair that Conte passed his audition last season to warrant backing big time.
If we could add a CM, 1 or 2 forwards and Eriksen as the cherry on top, that would be a massive signal of intent.
Some sensible budget signings like Perisic, Forster, Eriksen, Spence, then place main bulk of budget on Bastoni, a CM and a 4th forward to really challenge/take the load off out current trio.
As an aside, I’d like to see a couple of project signings worked on in the background for depth a season or two down the line.

All is looking very good, and we are acting early for a change with a definite plan and have the Comte appeal - this has been helped by cash being available without having to sell players first

But let's not get ahead of ourselves, and wait for official announcements - many times we have seen players that we thought were coming go elsewhere

My real concern will be is that if we get everything done early as Conte wants, then there will still be people on here moaning at the end of the window that we are not strengthening the squad and that Levy has not supported the manager.

I guess this is the first outfield player aged 30+ that we permanently signed since Llorente. And if you consider straight to first team buys, may be the first since the early 2012s ?
Prior to Llorente it surely has to be Harry signings like Parker and Gallas.

Unreal start to the summer.

Per transfermarkt he got 9G 9A from LWB/LM last season. Him and Son makes a deadly left hand side. Player with elite experience and mentality.

Then on top of his obvious quality it's a sign that Conte has full say over transfers and signifies how much pull the club has this summer with him.

Exciting times ahead. COYS

Reckon we will go into next season with 5 WBs for at least half a season. Doherty, Royal, Perisic, Sessegnon and Spence. If none of the RWBs nail down a spot then it wouldn't surprise me if Perisic gets moved there temporarily. That and the fact he's free is why I think we've preferred him to Kostic.

I can't get my head around what a difference 12 months make for being a Spurs supporter.
From the farce of last summer's managerial hunt to the ITK since the season finished it's just amazing.
It's given me a new bounce with everything and securing so many targets from the off is just unheard of for me in 40 years of following the club.
Already looking forward to the pre-season pix to see the new faces (now sell of the players not needed for the new season )

And this new found optimism and happiness trickles down into our personal lives too. I am buzzing nowadays feeling good as ever. Thanks for all ITKs who post regular updates and keep us on top of everything

Genuinely surprised, I honestly thought Perisic was angling for a better last Inter deal.
Not one for the future so I'm taking it that we really are looking to put in a challenge next season.

What I like is that most of his requests are very reasonable.
I remember fans of other clubs saying he'd bankrupt us with his demands.
