Agreed but he must have heard it from someone. As has been covered in the Bastoni thread Italians don't leave Serie A too often so he could be having second thoughts.

Not that surprising if true, the kid is Inter through and through. By all accounts he was planning to stay there all his career so can imagine he’s taking some time to think about it.

Always thought this would be the issue here. Regardless of the transfer fee, Inter's problems, Conte, stadium, London, etc. the kid is a massive Inter fan and young Italians hardly ever leave Italy, especially to come to the Prem.
Time for Paratici and Conte to put on a serious charm offensive. Maybe Levy can fly over and give him a foot massage or something - refuse to leave until he's signed like he did with Son. Definitely wouldn't be terrifying.

Well he's done that now- come to Tottenham now and begin a massive new journey with us (well that's what I'd advise him anyways)

I’m sure the only thing that may get him to leave is Conte being here because he really admirers him and credits as being a big part in his development. But in interviews he talks of being at Inter for the next 20 years even beyond football and how he hopes to one day wear the captains armband. Really I think he would never leave if the inter bored didn’t push him out. I think I read in the past he even has an Inter tat but could be wrong.

I am going to take a guess that Bastoni is OK with leaving. Surely the club wouldn't be negotiating with Inter if he hadn't already been spoken to and indicated he was willing to leave to join us.

Sorry- I get the Godfather part- but I don't understand the meaning?
I think he means that we are getting two players from Italy.............but its only my guess

It’s a reference to a scene in the godfather. Beyond that it could mean literally anything, probably best not to start guessing.
