I'm a voyeur and have been lurking on here since I stayed up all night back in the day to find out we had signed Rasiak! I vowed never to leave until we signed a proper striker.......I'm very tired!

hahaha:grin:

A bit of both really. I hassle my boss some days, and he just gets on the blower to shut me up. I usually feed him lines that unerve him, like "I've heard Parker is at spurs training ground" (he's a hammer) so he has to ring him.

as time as gone on, he comes to me with stuff now that I wasnt even asking about. (the young'un at west ham and the swedish striker for instance)

Sometimes I ask outright and get a straight answer. Whos this special player Harry wants ? A. Pienaar!

Just to calm it a little. It might have been my boss who cancelled. He is busy as well you know!

Cheers Ryan - It's good to know how these things come out.

Fabiano looks to be back on as an option.

We're looking to ship some players out, maybe two today... Robbie Keane, Pav, Kranky look to be the options.

That's about it, really!

Yup, as peanut alluded to a few weeks ago, it's Levy who is wanting to go out and spend big. Harry is the reluctant one.

This is why Harry said in a press conference that the chairman is banging on the door.

Anyone get the feeling that Levy has become a sort of DoS, doing most of what Comolli used to (except for the undermining your manager part ). It would make sense, as he believes in that management system, but can't reimpliment it until Harry's time is done. Or maybe it's just what I tell myself when we get linked with oaps.

On Fabiano, I was disappointed with him last night and my opinion of him definitely went south. Apart from the fact that he should have been sent off for all the fouls that he committed I was amazed how many times that he was caught offside.

Well doubt it be Andy Carroll...
Andy Carroll will fly to Sweden and see a specialist about the thigh problem that has forced him out of Newcastle's training camp in Portugal...

If Harry was in court, which I believe he was, he wouldnt be having and arranging meetings and lunch at the same time as the court hearing, as he has known about these hearings for months.

Of the four strikers (Forlan, Fabiano, Suarez and Benzema) I think the first two are Harry's 'experienced head' choices, and the second two are Levy's 'young, sound investment' choices. I'm fairly certain that if we got two strikers in, we'd get one from each camp.
Yes it makes sense but the striker would have to work together well. Forlan may work well with Benzema but not Suarez. Fabiano could work with Suarez and maybe Benzema!
Interesting that Fabiano was substituted early last night
