He’s scored 2 goals this season and one assist and in general been incredibly underwhelming. Hence them wanting him gone. Doesn’t have the dynamism to play out wide in general and is a very poor finisher. He’s fast tho I guess. Honestly have zero clue why we would want him. Very disappointing target.

I trust Ange. Remember we had ITK chat recently to not judge players we go for who are playing in different systems and perhaps playing underwhelmingly.

Ange’s system is pretty different so he could explode in the right team/tactics.

I’m being optimistic on this one. If Ange wants him so do I. Let’s just hope he can get him back to his Leipzig form. Was the hottest striker in the world at one point.

Ange clearly loves hard-workers, so I can see why we'd be interested in him and I'll 100% have him over Jota despite how underwhelming his spell at Chelsea was.

As a 6-month loan I can't see many downsides when we desperately need another attacker.

Will he start for us with everyone available - no.

Does he have raw pace that could be threatening from the bench - yes.

Are we paying loads of money - no.

Is there any risk - no.

Is there a potential reward - yes.

Don’t see the issue personally. If Ange is in, then so am I. We are currently one injury away from having to play Bryan Gil……..

For all the negativity around him...

In 2 seasons for Chelsea, Werner started 58 games, scored 23 goals & 21 assists

All these came under mediocre Lampard & rigid Tuchel systems.

Werner will be a brilliant add for Ange system given he can play anywhere in forward line

IIRC we had ITK back in 2015 that we were very keen on Werner when he was at Stuttgart

I think he’d be very good in Ange’s system. Definitely better than Richarlison.

A 6 month loan would not be bad at all.

He fits Ange's style of football perfectly, only worry for me is his injury record. He still is rapid.

When I’ve repeatedly said we need more composure and end product in the final third Werner wasn’t exactly the first name on my lips.

Underwhelming to say the least, although if we sign him I’ll just have to pretend it’s 2019…..

TBF those Chelsea stats are really pretty good.

What I remember most was that he was invariably offside.

No need to be a dick about Richarlison who has been scoring goals and getting assists even if he has been as clinical as what we are used to.

Raw ingredient wise Werner clearly has some attributes that set him up to succeed in formation we play. As a loan signing (hopefully with an option) he seems to be low risk. It’s a interesting roll of the dice by the recruitment team.

I also wasn’t expecting any type of striker in this month so pleased we are looking like we’ll get one, even if it might not be everyone’s first choice.

I personally think he’d do well under Ange.

No issue with signing Werner on loan in principle but slightly concerned why Leipzig would be happy to loan him out

I was on here at 3am no news I go to sleep and we are linked with Werner. Chelsea numbers weren’t bad imo and I always think salah at Chelsea FLOP De Bruyne at Chelsea FLOP. Werner?? In this Ange team the style we play even Richarlison has bagged his best return ever 5 in 6 league games. Ange has already admitted he wants players that want to bleed for the shirt. Look at Porro, Bissouma and Sarr all have stepped up to a level not previously seen. Also Levy and January is normally never this active I’m hopeful and it’s the hope that kills you.
