I was just at the hairdress with my GF!!!!

He's on his way to WEST HAM on LOAN, told me he's driving there now to sign paper work!!!!

Did he just pop in for a shave? I love the idea of him driving to sign on the dotted line a significant contract that will most likely take him to the end of his career but "sod it, I'll just get me hair done on the way"

Defoe must be worth at least 15m if bent is 24m....

that would value Torres at approx £50/52m.....is he worth that?

I think it's more the fact that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush - yes Newcastle could cash in on Carroll now but his value to them is worth much more than he would be for us. The trouble is that the selling club could be left with a gaping hole in their side with very little time to manoeuvre and find an adequate replacement.

From our point of view that's easily remedied, 1/2 of Pav, Keane or Crouch in the deal, don't mean it's what they'd want though

And when Torres turns us down, and Defoe gets annoyed at being shipped out and our other top players see what we'd offer significantly more to Torres than they're on (3x as much) - what would happen? There is an element of truth to what Harrys saying about other players wanting rises to match, having said that, we can't rely on punching above our budgetary weight year on year so something has to give..

Why do people keep talking about Torres?!!? Surely if you support our club, and listen to what people say you know we have a wage cap. So why keep banging on about it. We could offer liverpool £100m but its irrelevant as our wages aren't enough. Get over it!! I personally hope that if we sign noone we have every scout scouring europe looking for the next big thing. Maybe that way we can nick in early in may, nick a young talent hernandez style, and if we need to add some experience later on we have time.
