the fact that he never makes it up may be a reason for that
As the release clause is around £35m, it means Bilbao have no incentive to consider bids below that level, ours being in excess of £20m I have been told.

My opinion on that statemnent is brought to you by Martin Jol

What about when Man City contact his agent and say they think he's worth £200k a week?
Tomorrow Pav is likely to start, so not sure if a deal will be pushed through for him to leave, unless it's one final chance to put him in the shop window? He always seems to score goals in the FA Cup?
Will be interesting to see what happens. Personally, i'd love him to stay, and ship Crouch out to Sunderland!

Personally, If I was Gareth Bale and I was being touted as THE best left sided player in the world and some youngster joined the club on double my salary....then yeah, I would be upset.
His agent will move heaven and earth to get him to go, not least because the agent is going to make a princely sum.
It's up to the player to get reliable advice, exercise his judgement, and decide what is best for his career.
SOME YOUNGSTER!!!!mg: Proven world class who can cut it in th premier league big time. Reports are wonder bot is gonna be offered a huge new contract anyway

No matter what we offer him there is nothing stopping them doing that now
We will never be able to compete with them on wages unless Bill Gates buys us
I think if we get Llorente It would not be a surprise for Crouch to leave, after all Sunderland do seem very keen on him, and Llorente is more of a Crouch then a Pav
Why wouldn't it be best for his career to move to a club who values him highly rather than stay at a club who believe he's only worth half as much as other players?

What leads you to think that Pav will start? Harry has said he will play his strongest side, and all the reports indicate it will be either Crouch or Defoe.
Peanut has said this on COYS to the Llorente news
They don't value him more highly, they just have an almost unlimited supply of cash.
For past reference see:
Sean Wright-Phillips
Peanut is the most negative ITK ever isn't he?
