Cor, my first ever ITK.

My "No chance" post in the Sven Bender thread has been marked as "disagree" by the one and only JJ :)
He's removed the disagree. Either that means it's no longer happening, or he doesn't want information to get out, so realised it was better to be hush hush about it.

Edit- He's just given my post about him joking around a disagree as well. Oh well.

Or it could mean nothing at all, I think people are reading far too much into ratings.

Leave the site for an hour and shit gets real.

Now I just hope the Goat's definition of soon is less than 10 days!

Have to say the Bender Bros appearance records last season are concerning. Hopefully there's been some movement on Kramer, he's the dream option.

I love ratings cryptics

The more upbeat Trix and JJ are, coupled with the Goat bleating actually makes me think that this time things might just fall into place.

Have been optimistic in various windows before but there is too much positivity around this time for it all to go tits up surely ........................................

But this is Tottenham :)

Sven Bender would be like having Sandro back. Quality and a beast for part of the season. Injured for the rest.
Levy doesn't buy injury prone players. Though wonder if Poches training regime would help? we had no injuries last season

New ITK:

Who: The Goat
Where: SC
When: July 29th

We've been asked not to name names but we fully expect at least a couple of incoming players soon, barring any last minute curve balls.

We're aware this is really vague and almost not worth posting but it hopefully gives a bit more confidence that we're finally on track.

I'm assuming one is Berahino, and unless the other is McCarthy the club has done an immense job at keeping this under wraps.

I can't believe we'd look to buy someone with such injury problems anyway, no matter how much quality they have.

Just seen the second report today suggesting that not only are we getting a loan fee for Adebayor, but also Villa are taking on his full wages. Surely even Levy isn't that good?

JJ and Trix have been indicating German player(s), probably Werner. Soldado not going to America probably indicates that the second forward is closer than the CM.

Its hardly a false analogy.

That did actually happen.

And look how far we've come under him.

I dont really know how relevant your post is to mine actually. I dont think you actually understood my point.

Been treading water since 2006 and in some ways have gone backwards since 2010.

No doubt that Levy has moved us forward but no reason why we shouldn't be in the CL now other than mistakes he has made.

Clearly he has learnt from these and is trying to rectify but calling him a genius is a little premature IMO.

I think everyone will be satisfied at the end of the window with Incomings and outgoings

You underestimate how demanding I can be.

Messi or bust.

But good to hear the encouraging things about incomings. Loved getting rid of the deadwood, but we are beginning to look a little thin on the ground in midfield and upfront.

I saw that and thought can that be real, but almost all players go for loan fees now, and yes hes on big wages, but Villa are only tied down for one season, and have over 40 million of sales that have gone through. 5 million on Ade may be a good buy for them

Not for this thread really, but this is such a moronic statement, that it warrants an answer. Our league placing and subsequent qualification for european competitions, is obviously dynamic, and influenced as much (or more) by what other teams do. If City and the Chavs hadn't been taken over by sugar daddies, the league would have been very different. This discussion have been had a million times, but over time, your league position correlates with your spending on wages. In that aspect, we've been doing well, and pushing above our weight in several seasons.

You can clearly see this strategy being pursued still, with all ITK suggesting that were after younger players on (somewhat) low wages, so we can compete, even though were financially dwarfed by the top 4.
