I fully agree with the need for stability one way or another, but it's when people suggest Harry isnt good enough etc is when it gets to mind boggling levels, just 3/4 months ago we would have kissed his shoes to stop him managing England

Yeah but that's for another thread.

The time now is to be decisive.

Had a quick trawl through the Swansea forums - the feeling is that Rodgers won't be going - Chairman Huw Jenkins has apparently said there's been no contact with Liverpool. Main reason for the betting seems to be that Rodgers was in the US this week - but apparently he was watching a player. I would say as Martinez had another interview this week it'll be him.

I think Rogers needs to perform well next season again with Swansea before we go calling him. The PL history is littered with many a one season wonder

Exactly. Whether it's right or wrong to sack him is almost irrelevant. The decision needs to be made either way.
But whos to say it hasnt already? we dont know either way, we're basing it off rumours and nothing else, the same rumours that said we were signing Rivaldo about 5 summers in a row, for all we know they could already be enjoying tea together, all we can do is wait and see, but of course it's fun to discuss and speculate, but I dont think any of us can say one way or the other what decisions have or havent been made internally right about now

Yeah agreed. My one real nagging concern in all this is that Levy tries to manipulate this at a distance, thinking its the shrewd thing to do, and it disrupts our plans for next season.

I think its reasonable to assume that the relationship between the two isn't ideal. Its also reasonable to assume that Levy will be thinking about life after Harry, even if he sees out his contract this season.

Yeh I have no doubt he has a plan, but when people claim Harry is in the UAE and then apparently he's at home relaxing, it does make it hard to scope just what to believe but, thats part of the fun of rumours and the silly season I guess! :)

Speak for yourself - I had already (somewhat innocently, so it seems :)) accepted that he would be getting the England job, and began to look to who his replacement should be.

Also, that was before the ITK suggesting that he did very much take his eye off the ball during England-Gate.

Rodgers was watching gio apparently. He wants to take him on loan. How many loans from one club can a team make? Where does that leave caulker ?

You can't loan more than one player from the same Club IIRC. Caulker would definitely not be playing on loan for Swansea next season if they loan GDS.

Let's hope that Udinese are still interested and that Gio finally accepts to move on to pastures new, wherever they may be!

Yer i was just post the same thing about gio lol! He wanted him last summer as well but gio was ment to be going italy/spain for big money. From what im hearing HR wants to keep caulker for next season! Depends on amount of playing time as well i think otherwise could still go out on loan! Only one long term loan per PL club from the same league i think?

I wish someone would just bloody sign Gio already. All these loans are doing my head in. Surely everyone has seen enough of him to know he's a shit Ronaldinho by now.

Sounds good to me. We finally announce the Verts signing, then both Bentley and Jenas help take West Ham back down where they belong.
