Whilst I accept it may well be busy today, I cant help but think we are not going to end up with a big signing. In fact I doubt if many will leave either. The market is just too unstable at the moment and players are not being offered the pay they want at prospective new clubs.

As yesterday's papers and kebab wrappers flutter down a deserted Tottenham High Road I think naff all is gonna happen today.

I'm now emotionally disturbed due to a reminder about some fat bird called Anita that I spent a night with way back in 1974 not far from the junction of the Essex and Balls Pond Roads. Thanks a bunch.

Its just our luck, that we qualify for the CL, have money to spend, and the market goes flat. Just cos' Man City are splashing ridiculous amounts of cash, i think many chairman are over valuing their players. I'm sure Levy is more than prepared to dig deep for the right player, just not too deep. If/when we dont sign the big player, you will get the normal morons on here blaming lack of ambition etc,etc. I'm sure the whole team is working the buts ofto get the big signing we all crave, and i will be hugely disapointed if we don't, but i certainly wont be blaming DL and the board.

Neil Lennon:

One option is Anthony Stokes with Hibernian and Celtic continuing dialogue over a possible transfer for the Republic of Ireland international, who turned down a Parkhead move to sign for Sunderland in 2007.
Lennon said: "He's an option for us, we have a couple of other options.
"With Hooper being injured, we just need a wee box player or goalscorer. Anthony certainly fits into that category.
"Whether we can get over the line, I don't know, I'll find out more on Monday."
