We need to enjoy this summer.

Not sure we'll be seeing another transfer window quite like this one for a loooooooong time.

Agree with this. I think it's just about getting our squad to a competitive level then we'll be sensible future transfer windows.

Just looked at the players they represent, not that many would be of our interest. Maybe Pedro Porro, rwb from Sporting. https://www.transfermarkt.com/caa-base-ltd/beraterfirma/berater/674
Base are involved in quite a lot of our negotiations not just their own client list. Just as Stellar used to be, and Mendes was starting to be(thank fuck for Diaz to pool).

It's getting more and more common place now for these super agents to get the ball rolling as they are experts in this field and it circumvents a lot of legalities.

Not entirely sure we need Tielemans but i would see him as a bonus good to have.

Expecting lots of outs until August as we really hit all Limits with Non HG spots.

Refreshing to buy before we sell.

I wonder if our relationship with Base helped shut down this supposed hijack attempt from Chelsea.

The whole Diaz/Kulusevski thing worked out really well for us in the end. We got a player better suited to us and Paratici and Levy realised Mendes was a total snake.

Confused by this line in Herc's update 'The competition for Richarlison was fierce between themselves, but not for us.'

Can anyone clarify? Who are 'themselves'?

I have very good reasons why I am not posting this in the Bremer thread. Urbana Cairo, the nutty Torino Presidente (Italiano) been in talks extensively with Paratici for weeks. He offered us a few possibilities, one being Singo (injured plus OTT valuation). We are very keen on Bremer. It is Inter who were tying them all in with glitter promises, and no substance.

As things stand now, we have a verbal agreement on what Cairo wants. Which is too rich for either Milan clubs, and possibly only Juve could match. But there is hesitation , as they want to speak and negotiate down with variables, which is also the same as Inter.

Inter have been throwing all sorts of players at us. Even suggesting Bastoni is not dead. What we have been doing for the past few weeks is spending a lot of time with Bremer and company. It is now down solely to him, as the package we have offered neither clubs in Italy can. Conte has been very instrumental in all this. I am hopeful as things stand. But ignore the made up media bullocks about ‘auctions’.

For those moaning about Clement Lenglet, and Conté would not be happy. You are waaay off the mark. Reference my comments in this post.

Tielemans, we told him to hold out until we finished certain priorities. Now I know those from SE London will be creative with their excuses. Had we wanted Gabriel Jesus, he would of come here. The competition for Richarlison was fierce between themselves, but not for us. Surprises galore in volume of quality signings.
Love the update mate thanks, all very positive and exciting, so so good to see such a clear plan we are executing on as early as we can.

As for the volume of signings I said a while back that in Conte’s first season at Juve with Paratici he overhauled the squad signing 10 players and I wonder if come summer we might look to do the same, the cash injection and CL football seem to have enabled us to be on track to get close to that.

Some might say 7,8,9,10 signings is too many and will unsettle the squad but I disagree as a lot of these signings are seasoned pro’s who know either the league or conte and so will fit in and adapt very quickly.

It was pretty much a miracle conte got us 4th with the squad we had last year from the position he was in and we were always one or two big injuries away from having to call upon some very subpar replacements (winks, Lucas etc), luckily we went out of Europe and signed Kulu and Bentancur in Jan and the rest us history but it is very pleasing to hear about the potential volume of signings as if we want to compete in every trophy like conte will want us to and with the 5 sub rule next season then tbh 7 signings is really the minimum we need.

COYS ?? and loving the tsunami ? of ITK at the moment, legends the lot of ya.

YT will be the first one I'm disappointed with if we push him through. I would rather all the others options we have been considering.
Does seem a strange fit tbh, he’s a good player and would offer us something a bit different in the middle so I can see the thinking behind it but if it’s him instead of say Eriksen and Pacqueta then yea that’s a tad disappointing but he’s still a top class player so if conte and Fabio have identified him as a good fit then of course I’m behind it.

If the volume of signings does end up being 7-10 then it will be amazing because a lot of us probably thought best case we make a good chunk of signings this summer say 4-5 to push us closer to where we need to be to challenge for the tittle and on all 4 fronts etc but with 7-10 signings and we’d pretty much be jumping to a squad as close as you can get to city/Chelsea/liverpools in terms of depth of quality all in one go.

This is what happens when you get these two world class Italians ?? involved, no messing around with Conte & Fabio at the helm, all systems very much go/FORZA to go all out to be competitive in every competition ?

Soak this all in guys and gals, the volume and quality of signings and ITK this summer is off the hook ? (huge thank you to @Hercules @Trix @Hotspur88 @What Lies Beneath @dovahkiin @rebrab etc) and makes up for many many years of pain, frustration and disappointment in many previous transfer windows.

So positive and refreshing.

Just think a midfielder who can play in a 3 and able to play right of a striker would be perfect. Like a Paqueta.

Really hope we get Bremer tied up along with the three that are advanced. Anything after that will be a bonus imo, do think we need a creative spark but we have 2 months for that….

It is pretty amazing how everyone on here is now so laid back about the number of options we have. We started out worrying we wouldn't be able to get our first options and may have to settle for a lesser option but now we all seem to have tuned into Fabio's way of doing business and just shrug our shoulders and say oh well there's other options.
The responses to the ITK on here today is a perfect example.

I have to agree with you Trix. Let’s just hope Conté would do a ‘Davies’ on him if he signs. The other options are still in there as you know.
Do a ‘Davies’? Davies was a bench option and considered expendable. Tielemans is a nailed on starter for his club. He’s 4 years younger and played more senior football than Ben and captained his team at 19 years old in a European qualifier …
I don’t get that Conte needs to do anything. If he were to sign, he’d soon become a regular.

The year is 2022 and I've likely woken up in some twilight zone of Spurs. Or I'm in another clubs forum.

It's brilliant & I love it!

I took it as perhaps Chelsea (who apparently come in for Richarlison late) thought there was fierce competition but the player had already chosen us, so 'they' were competing with themselves. (Could be totally wrong though!)
