I think you need to take a reality check, its not so much that we lost the player we were hoping to get, its the fact that every year we try and do all our work in 24 hours, and this was shown up today when we found out about the Cahill saga. Bolton moved the goal post, we said OK, Bolton came back try to reopen but there was no time left. ITK's are like betting men, you get some right you get some wrong, I look for what is said on the OS. ITK's have no bearing on when or how a deal will be done.
Thats down to the club. What input did Harry have in transfer dealings?
Did Daniel do it all on hius own?

Hopefully Gio can get his head down and push Lennon, he needs some competition
Wishful thinking

One thing we know is that Gio is not a winger, he's not gonna push Lennon because he doesnt get to the byeline and cross or pull the ball back. He always cuts inside because thats his true position inside forward.

Hopefully hes cover for VDV

Please remember we kept all our best players and signed who many would agree was player of the season last year...
arsenal have lost their two best players..
Also levy grew balls, just remember how he caved in with carrick and berba...not this time, no one thought he would be strong enough..
we got shot of crouch and jj two players who Are genuinely nice guys, hard working, but just not good enough..
so when I read this was a disaster window well they are wrong.

Good points, but is a loan good enough? Maybe I really hope so, I think he'll make a massive difference, but what next year? He smashes 25 goals and then goes back to city or Madrid? Then where?

And NO it's not about money. Not for the incorrect player. We over paid for defoe and Pav first time around!

Pav, yes, but that's 20-20 hindsight. £7m for Defoe in Jan 2004 (doesn't time fly when you're having fun!) seemed pretty good business too, and whilst you can certainly baulk at the £16m we paid Pompey to get him back we were between a rock and a hard place due to the bollocks Ramos and Comolli made the previous summer.

I'll come in and I'm as pissed off as most.

So some things were passed to me didn't happen, doesn't mean it wasn't being tried. I'll deal with whatever crap you throw, don't care.

But as a ST I have questions as everyone does

- 14m in three years spent
- Earnt over 60m in CL, profit and transfers in 18 months
- Still waiting for Berb replacement
- Unfit CB's and 3 CF's only
- Many other things

It seems that all the stuff about Team Harry and Team Levy is going to come true, DL won't spend on dead duck manager, dead duck manager didn't want DL signings (like today!). That's one. Two, the ground is on the way, we need to pay for it. Three ENIC are getting ready to sell?

Again, I'm sorry, take your pop shots, not fussed, seemed on the money on other stuff Hutton, Bents, Wilson etc, Stuck my bollocks on Diarra and stupidliy Kaka, but what cam I do? Wait until the OS posts it!? No inpass it on. Oh well.

Shut happens and the last two hours have been shit
Fair play mate,

Adebayor, Parker and Friedal is hardly a show of intent to Modric, especially as the only notable one of those players is on loan.

Are we saving for the stadium then I can understand it maybe.

But where has all the money gone ???

Stoke spent more than us tonight than us over the last three years.

Come on Jim, you've been around long enough to know where the line is drawn and that'd be enough for me to politely remind newer members to dial it in a little, so only fair I say the same to you.

Understood. I am not bashing his ITK, Or even B&Y. I just didn't like the way he was dismissive of other's info himself. Smacks of double standards to me.

Believe me, I am not one for starting an ITK witch hunt. Pinches of salt and all that. It just seems that POTL has lost his manners. And my gran taught me that manners cost you nothing.

Told the 40m package Tottenham rejected from Chelsea for Luka Modric was £30m plus Alex.

I might have been tempted, but Levy had to stay true to his word

Yep brilliant stat. Stoke are closer to us than us to say the top three now.

I'm off to bed now to frap over my picture of Kaka on my wall and dream of a chairman and manager talking tomorrow

So... Bryan Ruiz hasn't been announced by Fulham has he? Could there be a straw to clutch at still?

Hmmm...I'm trying to figure out whether the absence of Modric is on purpose or not, SS. Was it?

Freudian Slip (or, as Captain Mainwaring would say, 'I was waiting for one of you to notice that').

With or without Modric, that's a pretty useful midfield, wouldn't you say?
