Much as Crouch is limited, you'll be begging for him back if Adebayor has to miss any games this season. Both Pav and Defoe have proved that they can't play with VdV and they certainly can't play upfront together. Crouch isn't very good, but he's the best of a bad bunch.

No, I won't, talkshowhost. I think Pav is the best of a borderline useless trio.

We're short up front still, in my opinion.
Pav and JD can't be relied upon should Ade and VdV get a long term injury.

We need another option.

Sorry guys if this is it then Im disgusted with our club. Its blatantly obvious we are short in defence & upfront & they havent acted. £5m this window compared to our competitors who have spent a lot, we are 6th or 7th best team in the prem now and its where we deserve to be, truly gutted!

this is looking pretty pathetic. stoke stand to spend more in 1 day than we have in 4 transfer windows! a disgrace if this is all the spending we will do this window.

More importantly, we've so far spent an enormous......£5m in this window on the first team squad. It just doesn't seem right.

If the rumours about Harry and Levy being at loggerheads are true, I can't say it comes as such a big surprise. Annoying, though.

Plus reported £5m for Hara. Also factoring in probable loan fees for Bentley and Jenas, then factor out loan fee for Adebayor we still have a massive surplus robally nearer the £25m mark.

Maybe it's all going on the stadium?

If Hutton goes together with Crouch and Pav that, even at a conservative estimate, has to be 20m incoming, together with the 5m or so from O'Hara and the 3m(ish) for Keane. Even if we've paid a loan fee for Adebayor it seems a strange time to be making a profit on transfers.
