Too tight to call, better in some areas, weaker in others. My hope is that we are within touching distance of them come January and then we finally bring some quality in to see us home.

Thats what I think, the goons didn't really buy big like I thought they would, arteta is good but very injuy prone, hardly a Fabregas replacement.

Just took this from Danny's message in May so maybe we should have seen all this coming:

We have spent years and hundreds of millions of pounds investing in our First Team squad and in creating a settled team. Having quality players means they automatically attract attention from other clubs - but I can assure you that we have no reason to sell, and every intention of retaining, our key players. We shall simply not entertain any approaches for these players.
We do, however, currently have one of the largest squads in the Premier League and, given the 25 man squad rule, it is no longer practical to retain players who are unlikely to qualify within that limit. We shall, therefore, look to reduce the number of these players during the coming summer transfer window in order to operate both effectively and efficiently.
Additionally, this season we saw the growth and development of several younger players who have undoubtedly benefitted from the combined system of loaning to ensure match time whilst retaining training sessions back at Spurs Lodge. Several of these players will be valuable additions to our First Team next season.

Well that totally reflects our actions.

Not being critical of POTL in anyway, he's normally excellent - but the one little line I think what got everybody's hopes up was the proving our ambition to Modric line...after that everybody was convinced we would see some major signings to demonstrate our ambition to our 'star' players...

I'll come in and I'm as pissed off as most.

So some things were passed to me didn't happen, doesn't mean it wasn't being tried. I'll deal with whatever crap you throw, don't care.

But as a ST I have questions as everyone does

- 14m in three years spent
- Earnt over 60m in CL, profit and transfers in 18 months
- Still waiting for Berb replacement
- Unfit CB's and 3 CF's only
- Many other things

It seems that all the stuff about Team Harry and Team Levy is going to come true, DL won't spend on dead duck manager, dead duck manager didn't want DL signings (like today!). That's one. Two, the ground is on the way, we need to pay for it. Three ENIC are getting ready to sell?

Again, I'm sorry, take your pop shots, not fussed, seemed on the money on other stuff Hutton, Bents, Wilson etc, Stuck my bollocks on Diarra and stupidliy Kaka, but what cam I do? Wait until the OS posts it!? No inpass it on. Oh well.

Let's hope so. If he has sorted his attitude out, and Harry is willing to wipe the slate clean (as was suggested earlier in the window) he could still be a good player for us.

He's stuck in London now until January anyway, so might as well see how he gets on.

bit harsh. blue = adebayor = correct. yellow = leando = didnt we bid for him? POTL didnt say we got him, just that he was a big target. we dont have to sign every single target for the ITK to be right!

Re Diarra - he said deal and judging on what other ITKs have said also, we agreed a deal with RM but not with him so he was partially correct. He also said we had a bid accepted by Bolton for Cahill - another ITK has backed this up and said Bolton then moved the goal posts.

Some people on here need to man up and show some maturity rather than coming on here slating ITKs like some spoilt child who didnt get their treat.

I think you need to take a reality check, its not so much that we lost the player we were hoping to get, its the fact that every year we try and do all our work in 24 hours, and this was shown up today when we found out about the Cahill saga. Bolton moved the goal post, we said OK, Bolton came back try to reopen but there was no time left. ITK's are like betting men, you get some right you get some wrong, I look for what is said on the OS. ITK's have no bearing on when or how a deal will be done.
Thats down to the club. What input did Harry have in transfer dealings?
Did Daniel do it all on hius own?
