So Adebayor has had his Villa medical, drunk their Powerade and used their showers and hairdryer, yet hasn't agreed his salary.

Way to go through life.

Rumour has it the Powerade he got from Timmy was a little bitter.

There's been a lot of optimism about our new approach and the type of players we're going to sign. But still no DM and still no WF/CF. Just the usual complications which mean we're likely going into drag it until deadline day and start against Man U in 8 days time(!) with Dier in midfield, unless Mason recovers from his injury.

This window is starting to feel very familiar again.

I feel a daily growing sense of despair, like we've been here so many times. Yeah we seem to be amazing at shifting players on but we are playing Manu all-stars next Saturday with no more changes than a tweaked and untried defense from last season.
I'm not optimistic on what we may buy, if anyone. Perhaps more jam tomorrow, again.

On the chunkier property deals that I'm involved in, that is more often the case. I've had agents on the phone going "we heard a rumour the other side has pulled the plug". On one occasion to follow this up I rang the other side and their response was "well, someone should probably tell my client that they are pulling out of the deal as they are in our meeting rooms downstairs to sign the documents".

Agents. Agents who are worried about their fee. Always.

When he pulls on the Villa shirt - then fire away. I still have faith that he will make the move, as long as he gets the money at villa he has no reason to stay at spurs. prolly just testing the water to see what he can milk from the deal.

I dunno, sure best to get rid of Ade but even if he dug his heels in, he doesn't gr8 a sniff of the squad. He's in the Assou-Ekotto seat and what he does is of no relevance to the playing side of things.

Re: Ade. I suppose that some clubs would like to present several signings at once as a statement of intent to fans and alike. Villa have two medicals today, Verout and Gestede, they might wait to announce Ade and present all three later today or tomorrow. But then again, I'm just guessing... Believe it will go through as long as he has passed his medical though.

The delay is because the with doctor is having trouble getting a visa.
