Some of you will remember that in the last window i was able to provide a slight insight as to the finance aspect. I am no longer working for that company/bank, but the colleague who picked up my portfolio has sent me a message stating that "all my prior work might not be wasted". He then called me a nasty word beginning with the third letter of the alphabet as he's still at work. Obviously pestering the poop out of him to find out more. Worst thing is, i'm getting my own hopes up here.

The Metro say that Tottenham are close to signing Schalke's Germany international midfielder Lewis Holtby, 22, on a pre-contract deal.
Meanwhile, the the Mirror
Midfielder Jermaine Jenas, 29, is heading back to Tottenham after making one start in three months during a loan stint at Nottingham Forest.

Long boring story short he is a complete bullshitter. His name is Lance and he lives in India. He works in a Sky Broadband call centre and tries to pass off working for Sky as working for a top, well known Sports media company. Its why his, if you notice, English Grammar is so poor so often.

He's a proven liar by several reputable LFC Twitterers who outed him when he came on the scene painly posting about Liverpool. Get's nearly everything wrong and then deletes the evidence.

Just ignore him.

Thought I should inform you all about this when seen him getting a few mentions the last couple of days.

While it wouldn't do us any good now, I'd still be okay if it just turns out we confirm Holtby on a pre-contract.

I just want something to look forward to in terms of an addition.

If we decide to go with Holtby on a free in the summer to fill the need for creativity in midfleld, I sincerely hope that we'll bolster our attacking options with someone like Leandro, Isco, Nani, or someone of their ilk. We presumably have the money that we would have spent on Moutinho, plus anything we gain from sales this window.

If we want to compete with Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton for a top 3/4 finish, I think we need some investment. We either need to inject more creativity into the team or become more clinical in front of goal or else we will continue to drop points against the likes of Norwich, Wigan and Stoke.

if i recall correctly, wishkah was working on the financial package for one of the major deals we were looking to do at the time. was a sizeable deal that involved getting the pre-approval and processes of progressive payments for the deal in place?

Seems to me his latest info indicates that the deal might be resurected , hence "not all the work is done in vain"

I'm hopeful you're right, but as I mentioned previously, I'm not surprised Spurs as a football club would want to transfer some money abroad during a transfer window.

I'm happy to wait and see what happens.

I'm sure that the club know how important this window is. After last season when we were 3rd and then fell away badly, do you think Levy would risk this happening again? Leandro seems a goer again which is promising and maybe this time the starts have aligned correctly and we definitely need that creative mid.

Mega money deals don't happen over night but I'm confident we will get what we need come the end of the month.
