No worse than Defoe is Remy upfront, a few years younger and he can play out wide. Only downside is he is injury prone....

I actually think Loric Remy for £5-6 million is a bargain. He can play on either wing or upfront. Obviously i'd prefer Villa and Soldado but for that price it could be a DL special. IMO he's not an AVB type of player but that hasn't stopped DL before.

Tbh guys i can see Villa/Remy being more realistic then Villa/Soldado (sadly)

I prefer the second option a billion times more.

Remy is exactly the sort of player who would be perfect this system that AVB is allegedly aiming for. A wide forward who can score goals, and also an option as a lone front man if required.

Can't say I saw enough of him at QPR to say whether he's of the required quality or not, but a lot of us were clamouring for him 12 months ago.

If the price is right he might be a relatively cheap option to add strength to our squad.

Isn't the issue with Remy more to do with his salary than his ability?

He's supposedly on 75K wk. Maybe it's not that high though.

I like Rémy, I remember he was the next big thing a couple of years ago. Would be a good option for us IMO and a good Defoe replacement considering he's 4 years younger.

Bale, Villa and Remy up front would be pretty tasty to be honest, I think a lot of people here just assume cuz QPR signed Remy he cant be that good, the only issue he has is he can be a bit injury prone, he has the vision and finesse of a classy player though, not a world beater, but anyone who says he's like Defoe is a mad man, just watching him for QPR last season should tell you otherwise, he's clinical

I dunno about anyone else but if we sign Paulinho and Villa early i'll be quite happy if other signings take a bit longer, get those two in early and we'll have already improved immensely on last season, i'd love for us to sign Villa soon as well, would be such a nice double announcement with Paulinho

Throw in Soldado as well and sell JD. I'd love Villa, Bale, Soldado as the starting front 3, with options in Lennon, Remy and Ade on the bench. Huge depth up top.
