If you want to wind Liverpool fans up a little more and remark on the genuis of Daniel Levy:

Spurs: Lennon, Bale, Dembele, Parker, Sandro, Holtby = £34m

Liverpool: Henderson & Downing = £40m

Thanks for the tip!

I said:

Spurs: Bentley, Jenas, Gomes, Bent = £50m
Liverpool: Downing, Carroll = £53m

I done good?

Does anyone know of a thread where you can just throw out names of players you think would be worth signing/looking at?

From the Schalke website:

The futures of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Lewis Holtby have been settled. Could things become even more difficult for Holtby now because he's decided not to extend his contract?
It certainly won't be easy. The fans are very emotional as well. But Lewis is part of our team and he'll be treated like everyone else. If he performs well, I don't see any reason at all to leave him out. It's up to him to perform and he knows that, which is why I believe he'll get things under control. I also hope the fans will be fair to him because a negative atmosphere is the last thing we need right now.

I've read a few people saying Nani's just a Ronaldo wannabe.

The last time Lennon played a reasonable season 2010-11 (2365 mins) he managed 3 goals and 2 assists. The last time Nani played close (but less) 2011-12 (2111 mins) 8 goals, 10 assists. Season before (2668 mins) 9 goals, 14 assists. He also sees nearly 50% more ball and tackles more.

I guess that makes Lennon a Nani wannabe ?

So pleased with this signing.

It's really satisfying to see spurs eating at the top table again. And this is without CL football

We are a massive club.

I love you spurs :)

On a side note. Goo to see my new source on the money. I'm trading QPR stuff for spurs stuff

He is very well connected so I'm back in the game ;)

Statistically speaking that would make nani better than modric.

I know twitter is frowned upon, but as a one off I just feel this will raise a giggle
Just seen this on Twitter...

"@LiverpoolUnion: The only reason we, #LFC, didn't sign Holtby is because we're getting sniejder"

Deluded????

To clarify the situation about Sneijder,it is still pretty the same I described in the Talksport interview.Only small difference is that agents trying to make accept to Inter they'll get small bid. For what concerns the player, he still agrees to favour Spurs as first option but more than that he can't go as knows that w/out any bid there won't be room for his decision. This doesn't mean he's closing to other options

@tancredipalmeri Tancredi have Spurs shown interest or is agent pushing this?

Tancredi Palmeri@tancredipalmeri
@Jonny_Moffett yes, and yes

Fantastic signing and a great piece of business by Levy. Is it greedy to get Moutinho, Sneijder and Damiao too?

Best thing would be to get him in on loan with an option to buy. Tides us over until Holtby gets here at least. Not sure Inter would be receptive to that though.
