Regarding a certain team, and deliberately being vague. And nothing to do with Cryptic! At least hope not. We have our eyes on one particular player, not GB! We would still deal separately aside from CE. With CE in the deal, makes it more viable for our Danny boy, from a point of accounting principle.

Definitely painful. Top player and has been a big part of our improvement under Poch. That said if you replace with 2-3 quality U23 midfielders in Ndombele, Lo Celso and Ceballos (assuming that is Herc's player mentioned above) and suddenly the squad looks really healthy now and for years to come.

Totally agree. No matter his recent performances etc, he's been a mainstay for a long time. Would be a painful loss but not one that we can't improve from.

Very true poch is a massive fan of Isco That’s the player o was thinking of. Can’t see him going for under 70m in this day and age, plus there will probably be no shortage of takers

I don't think Asensio or Isco will leave Madrid any time soon, especially the latter. If Isco was serious about leaving it would have happened by now IMO.

I think we are very much looking at adding some youth to the squad so I would say they rules out the likes of Isco (not that he is old!)
