There's pretty much three months to go before the TW closes. Thats a loooong time, so anyone getting frustrated by the lack of ITK now should probably mark a series of stress relieving wanks onto their calendar.

On the lack of ITK...
I remember the ITK frustration of the last World Cup. First there was no ITK because our staff was "taking a break". Then there was nothing because of the World Cup. Then there was nothing because the players who'd played in the World Cup were on holiday. Then we were waiting for everyone to get home from our summer tour.
We waited until August 20th for our first signing (Gallas) and then until the 31st (VDV)
Got a bad feeling... :0)

and when you factor in that we actually needed players to take us on for the CL campaign it was even worse. Im talking about the signing of players not lack of ITK obviously.

We spent all that summer chasing the unattainable Luis Fabiano....I wonder who it will be this summer!

Didnt Sturridge leave Chelsea in January of 2013? Chelsea was already on their 2nd manager post AVB by that point and AVB was our manager then. So you cant really blame Andre for that one.

Anyway, not the thread for this.

I was struggling to give example of Chelsea youth, but still think its valid that Sturridge could have been part of AVB's changes, but AVB wanted ready made.

But as you say its for a different thread, and actually irrelevant to Spurs now

AVB had no interest in developing young players - he only wanted to buy ready made.

Name me ANY young player he helped develop at Spurs ? Or at Chelsea before that - which is why Sturridge left for example.

I did but now I can't read the dates. I think I misunderstood your suggestion.

Not only that, but its the beginnig of June, most players are with their national teams either training for the WC or training for friendly send off matches. Not surprised with the lack of ITK right now.

Also, we have a new manager and first team coaching staff so I doubt we'll wait too long. I think ITK will pick up after the WC and maybe we'll even get a signing in before August. I'd say the ITK will pick up some come a week or 2 before the US tour actually once training for the tour starts.

Re Caulker - was told that he had agreed terms with Liverpool?! Apparently they are also considering other targets.

Swansea definitely want him - he's their no1 CB target to play alongside Williams (provided he stays). Swans want to replace Chico
