I always liked Forster when he was at Celtic, really decent back up keeper, HG to boot

I'd go so far as to say he's a really decent first team keeper, he's an excellent back up keeper.

Yup, you’ll struggle to get a better backup goalkeeper than Forster.

He was very good for Southampton last season.

Forster's an excellent signing. He was also man of the match against Arsenal as they were beaten by Southampton in April so helped us reach the champions League.

Apparently, Milan are cooling their interest in him - guess he's another potential Bastoni alternative?

On Botman, however, the interest of Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle is strong, a strong competition. For this reason Renato Sanches (which is nearby) is easier to arrive from Lille at the moment than Botman.

If Bastoni falls through somehow, I would be ok with Botman as the backup option (assuming Gvardiol can't be had).

Have you watched Foster recently? He's pretty bad really, very slow to react on occasion, but as a back up he's fine.

So, Sven Botman, for me, would be a type to identify for the CCB position. Big, strong defender, but not so great agility. Maybe we were serious about Bremer, and since he looks nailed on for Inter, Botman is another guy we like for that role?

Delighted we've got Forster. Around 1 in 3 clean sheets during his PL career. Where that leaves Whiteman, for example, though?

Also really good to see we're being aggressive in going for Bastoni, as he's AC's top target.
