Imagine how Inter feel with our constant attention towards LD.

It would appear Levy has learnt a thing or two from their chairman.
We dont go public with our interest in Leandro though. It's actually Inter who come out with our interest trying to start a bidding war.

Don't know why we need to sell either of them.

Rather only sell Hudd or Livermore (plus any youth we don't want) and reassess in January.

I think AVB's mention of the FA on Saturday night was probably aimed at Barnet. Interesting that Caulker's gone and Siggy's now for sale. Barnet appears to have burnt his bridges.
Ooh, got an agree from ValenciaYid for this. Would be nice to think that Barnet is in deep doo doo.

Can't see Defoe dropping to the Championship with the world cup next year. I don't want Defoe to go either. People can say what they like about him, but he knows where the back of the net is.

I know where the back of the net is too....doesn't mean I'm any good at regularly finding it

From today's Guardian.. Defoe to WBA etc.

Staying in north London, and Jermain Defoe is wanted by West Bromwich Albion. The-striker-who-seems-to-score-a-lot-of-goals-but-people-still-say-is-a-bit-rubbish is open to the move given the arrival of Roberto Soldado to White Hart Lane. One man who does not appear to be on his way there, however, is the 18-year-old Real Betis winger Alvaro Vadillo. Apparently Spurs have been chasing Vadillo for some time and thought a deal was in place only to hear thatArsenal – yes, them again – are ready to make an offer themselves, with Vadillo more keen on a move to the Emirates.

He lacks a bit of pace yes, but so did Teddy Sheringham...

I'd rather play Huddlestone than Parker. As much as I love his work rate he's just too negative in my opinion. He's not the same player he was a couple of seasons ago.
Don't disagree about Parker, I think we need to sell both.

I hope we keep Gylfi but I would be happy if we replaced him with Christian Eriksen! That guy is class

I've been dying to post all weekend but for some reason can't do so on my android phone?

Anyways, as much as I respect and appreciate LLM's info and think that he is clearly ITK, am I the only 1 who doesn't buy the whole Sherwood and AVB transfer dynamic? We should remember that AVB clearly had big offers this summer and chose to stay, do we really think he would do that if he had "little input" on transfers? Really? Also, there has been a very clear change in our transfer policy not just in terms of how much we are spending but also the type and location of the players that we are targeting. Again, are we expected to believe that this has NOTHING to do with AVB and far more to do with Sherwood and Freund? AVB has to work with the players, he has to build a team, he surely must have major input in the type and position of the players that he wants brought in.

On today's ITK, I think the CB thing has been part poor planning and part bad luck and we really need to fix this before the end of the week. Crystal Palace will be a difficult game and Swansea look a very dangerous side indeed again this year. I would very happily let Defoe go and keep Ade but either way we are going to need 3 strikers. As for Siggy, I really like him and would be disappointed if he were allowed to go.

And breath............

that is exactly the Tottenham way mate. Just stop being in denial :)

Seriously though, its the committee who suggest the players. Then AVB will have final say. Hence you hear stories of managers being indecisive. Clint Dempsey? AVB signing or a committee deal at the eleventh hour? Dembele? AVB signing or a committee deal at the eleventh hour?

In fact the only deal I can remember the manager winning in the battle of wills was Scott Parker. Harry refused all possibilities until he finally got Scott
