Doesn't feel like we're close to signing anyone unfortunately.

Lets hope Adebayor leaves before Friday and that sparks something.
I honestly believe that the future of Adebayor has little to no bearing on what transfer activity we undertake in recruitment.

I think we are going into the season seriously under strength in the attacking/creative dept. im sorry but we've seen all this with the speculation/bids in the previous three seasons - we will be desperately chasing a striker in Jan and hoping HK doesn't get a knock. Levy's last minute gambles rarely pay dividends. I think if it gets to the last week - some fan action might be needed.

But we had ITK about a month ago that said a ST coming in had nothing to do with aoth Ade or Bob leaving?

I agree, and believed that to be the case, with Ade especially (recent ITK says waiting for replacement on Bobby).

However ITK went crazy on Berahino just as Ade was supposedly agreed, but its gone cold since then. I'm not convinced its just a coincidence that Ade has been dragging on at the same time...

You'd hope it's a coincidence (@felmani26 above believes so) but I'm not so sure now.

Yeah it is odd! Everything's gone quiet even media don't know who to guess we want. If we know Ade will lea e one way or another as ITK suggests then surely it will benifit us to make our moves now

The only upside to "fan action" (which I assume means some sort of protest) is that it would be handy for no other reason than to see who it is we should eat first once the zombie apocalypse rolls round.

Fan action?!

Have a herbal tea mate and relax yourself. It's football.

The fact we know Ade will not feature in Poch's plans means a replacement is needed whether he leaves or stays. The club may be loathe to make an outlay until we are guaranteed to be relieved of his wages however.

I can't see why Ade going or staying is holding up incomings. I know we want his wages off the books but surely if he stays he won't play so we need someone and if he goes we need someone - either way, we need someone...

The teams that compete each year, do the majority of their business prior the to the week leading up to the start of the season. We continuously let our business drag & drag on until the last day of the window & it's bloody annoying. I don't buy the whole we need to sell to buy crap either, we have money ffs.

If yesterdays game wasn't proof enough that we're in DESPERATE need of support for Kane & a defensive midfielder then you're blind or dumb. And you can stick your 'be patient' or 'there's another month of the window to go yet' replies firmly up your respective jacksy's.

It's a sorry situation, that we've got 4 days left before playing Man Utd and even if we do buy another striker, they will not have had any time training or getting to know the team or how we play. (n)

Perhaps we have already got somebody but their missus is hunting around the local area for a suitable mansion, got help us when they get to the curtains and cushions stage.

Ade is almost academic when you consider that we are not going to play him. The solution is simple, sell Soldado and at least provide cover for Kane.

I really hope we are holding off announcing departures until we have signed other striking options so not to over inflate the asking prices.... Call me optimistic. Which you probably will.

Don't understand why everyone is stressing about Ade. If this deal falls though he is gonna get frozen out.. if it doesn't then he is gone.

The first team is playing a tounry in Germany I highly doubt anything will be announced until after that.
Go do something productive like watch some porn.

It's the same for every club.

All about money. If he stays, it costs is a small fortune. Imperative he goes.

Maybe so, but freeing up those massive wages is only going to help further in terms of what we can do with incoming business.
