I see you kind people picked up on my comments from the other side. Just to further elaborate. ...

dawson was opinion based so disregard it for now.

livermore will be used as a centre back certainly converted to one. I have been banging on about this for ages,he reminds me of ledley when he broke into the first team. Jake can become a cracking centre back but he has to learn quickly. This positional change has been mooted since harry was there.

Kaboul is still injured his knee swells, it is not severe but 100% he is not. He can train but not everyday (exactly like ledley) its not permanent so do not panic.

Sandro and kaboul have an outside chance for palace but its a 100-1 shot so whisper it quietly. :)
Thanks llm good to hear :) have u heard similar to the goat? Ryan said something about something moving quickly now I don't like adding up to 2 using 1's but tbf I'm getting a little excited :)

Livermore is not as quick or as good at reading the game as King was.

I know he's not use to playing CB, but there is no way, even in a general football sense, that Livermore would be anywhere near as good as King - in reading the game, anticipating, positional sense etc...

Heck most experienced CB's playing anywhere in the world would struggle to get close to a fit Ledley King.

Have to say I've always admired Livermore more for his loyalty and love for Spurs rather than his playing ability. He is a defender first and foremost and shows excellent concentration and focus when defending, just not a lot going forward.

I can see him converting to CB with no probs, and I hope he does. its been mentioned that AVB likes a small squad with versatile players, well Livermore can cover at least 3 positions. Home grown spurs fan, that never moans, whats not to love.

Wasn't Ledley a CM to start with? Or am I wrong with that?

Don't think so, but was very good in midfield.

I like the idea of Livermore the centre back. Think Pelligrini is planning the same with Rodwell.

I don't think we can judge Livermore being a CB on the Monaco game vs Falcao with young Fryers (who is a LB) next to him. I'd give him a shot v Palace. Nothing like Falcao on form.

If we need a stand in CB with Dawson for Palace, I wouldn't shit myself about Walker or even Livermore doing a job.

A, it's Palace

B, Bobby will be too busy smashing in volleys up the other end, our CB's will be sat on the floor with their legs crossed making mud pies.

He's got next to no game-time under his belt as a centre back. I think it's a tad presumptuous of AVB/the coaches to feel Livermore can do an adequate job in the back four for a top club this season. Even Veljkovic must be a better option than him at this current moment in time?

Livermore as our utility man, providing he ends up being able to play CB to a decent enough sort of level, sounds fine to me - if AVB is convinced.

i think livermore could be quite good at cb given the time to learn the role all over again. he's well built and obviously having played in midfield will be more composed on the ball than the likes of a limited defender.

AVB wants ball playing defenders and livermore can fit perfectly given time to improve in a CB role.

my opinion anyway
