Cheers for the update herc. Probably best to have a smidge of realism in here.

I disagree with some of the opinion you’ve given but this is not the place to debate it if I want to survive till Friday.

Condolences to your nads.

Much appreciated either way (y)

I’m sure I’m having dejavu. In fact, I think i get it around this time every year.

Late interest, surprise signing, we tried so hard but the other club blah blah blah.

That’s not a dig at the ITK. I believe their information. It’s a criticism of our club and it’s transfer strategy. Always leave it late and most of the time fail. Very disappointing.

Of course there is a totally different strategy we could take with Toby and Eriksen rather than trying desperately to flog them to the highest bidder....accept them as the fantastic players that they are and pay them the going market rate based on their ability. A more likely route to a successful team in the long run..

The swap deal with Eriksen is an odd one.
Doesn’t sound like Real are at the party. Now Ceballos has gone, who do they have left to offer? I don’t see Bale being viable.
Barca, sounds like Coutinho is wanted by us, but don’t see Barca wanting Eriksen.
United don’t have anyone we’d want, at least nobody they would offer us anyhow.
Only team I see being interested both ways is Juve in a Eriksen/Dybala swap.

Being positive, it seems we are looking at a player in as well as Sessgnon anyway, plus an Eriksen swap deal, so would suggest we won’t be left short. All seems to suggest two midfielders in, not just one, assuming things fall into place.

Prem proven links like Zaha and Coutinho have certainly spiced up this end of window for me. Whether we could seal something so huge in so little time on either seems extremely unlikely to me.

Seems like any hope of that is long gone.

Oh well never mind there is always next summer. I am sure Levy will see day light and start improving our squad. Oh this will be minus Kane, Alli who would have moved because they want to win something before their legs give up on them.

Sounds like Zaha could be a late option with 1 or 2 going the other way then. Imagine we steal him under the noses of Everton like we did Sissoko.

Will be a tad disappointed if we don’t get GLC. Feels like we know him so well already with the time spent trying to get him.

I would urge to apply caution here!

This one is from a different connection. I did hear through him last week, that we were trying/going to try to see if we could do a loan agreement with option for Coutinho. I didn’t take much notice. But seeing it’s out there, I may as well throw it out there.

Regarding GLC, to be very honest with you all, i really fear for my precious Nads. And I from now on (either way) curb my excitement. And I fully respect all the ‘optimistic’ ratings. Daniel Levy, and ENIC as a whole need to FIX this before window closes. I am confident it will likely be BF & Sess, which weakens us. Yes Betis has pissed about, but time to bite the bullet and do that deal also.

Crystal Palace interested in three of our players, which I won’t name here. But if?! Which I have no confidence, we agreed 1-2 players to them, then slim chance of a surprise. But honestly do not hold your breath!:barefoot::barefoot:

BF and Sess would be very disappointing (assuming Eriksen leaves, that is).

It makes sense for us all to pessimistic as we know how these things usually turn out but I get the sense we do try and go after the big deals and perhaps this year we finally clinch them. We only found out recently after all that we were going for de jong last summer when he revealed it recently - and yet we never heard a peep.

In terms of Betis, and while I'd still like Lo Celso it would be incredibly gratifying to sign someone like coutinho instead and screw them out of their pay day after all their goal post shifting over deals.

Thanks for the info. Least surprising bit of ITK ever, just following exactly the same pattern as recent years.

Pretty sure we've been trying to do that for about 2 years. You can lead a horse to water...

Zaha will cost 80mill - he's done nothing to justify that price tag, unless we want to do a Harry Maguire? (n)(n)(n)

i don't see how Bruno Fernandes only makes sense personally, I thought the reason we were refusing to pay the full Lo Celso fee was to be able to add another one on top. If we are settling for one then surely the best option to is pay what Betis want because he is near the top of Poch's wish list, I get the feeling Bruno Fernandes isn't. I think this would be poor decision making personally.
