Hope it happens, we clearly need a few outgoings to have a decent end to the window.

I guess Levy always hoped lower PL teams would panic closer to the end of the window too.

Bloody typical that the only time we've had interest in Sissoko is when we actually sort of need him. Don't get me wrong, I'd still sell him, but we were already looking very light in CM.

Could see Newcastle coming in at £15m. Mike Ashley would see that as a big win given the fee we paid him. Bit like our keano to pool dealings. Wolves would be a good shout or Watford. I say trade at £20m and take the loss. Replace with youth or if we keep dembele for another year and try to bring in a cm.....

20m£ would be a really good price tbf.

My worry is that Levy won't even deal at that price. Fingers crossed he takes the loss though.

Wonder if we still owe money to Newcastle. Possibly 2 payments of £6m still. Would be pretty Levy.

Wolves were linked earlier in the window however.

Wolves were linked the other day too I think, although they’re about to sign Adama Traore from Middlesbrough and you’d think that would be the end of any interest in Sissoko

Really don’t like the comments and doing a disservice to a professional football player that played many games for Spurs last season. Despite what the majority think, I think he obviously performed a decent job when asked and probably generally to Poch’s instructions. When 1-0 up and with 10 minutes to go, I personally am happy to see him come off the bench and run down into the corner with the ball. He’s a big fucker and not easy to get the ball off.

If I remember correctly we are paying Newcastle a flat c£6m per season over the course of his contract and we are in it for the full amount, whatever we sell him for. Let’s hope we will sell him for more than £18m or at least recoup our money.

Hopefully it will work out well for all.

Would suit a team in the Lower half of the table, say what you like about him but his work rate and his ability (yes he has one!) to carry the ball 40-50 yards up the pitch will be invaluable for some teams.

But it does clear out some much needed space in our first team squad

The club interested in buying Sissoko? It could be a premier league club, any of them, so that's them named. It could also be a club from anywhere in Europe or for that matter, anywhere in the world. So consider them 'named' too.

You can now also consider your 'guess' to be covered.

There.

That saved us 30 pages.

Technically dreadful footballer that he is, he works hard and does add something, though I’m not exactly sure what that something is.

However, he is possibly the only player we have who is 100% guaranteed to miss in a one on one situation, which for an advanced midfield player is not good enough.

Will never understand what came over us to pay so much for him. Possibly a damning indictment on leaving it late on purchases and painting yourself into a corner. From Poch’s book it seems that we missed our targets and Levy pushed Sissoko to Poch on the basis that he was the only player he could find (who was remotely near good enough) that a deal could be done on. Poch’s view being ‘better him than nobody’.

Sell sell sell.

I can't help but feel sad for Sissoko, our fans pretty much had him written off before he even kicked a ball. Quite often he wasn't the worst player on the pitch but still got all the abuse. But you could never fault his graft and effort, good luck to the lad, hopefully his next club may not be so quick to get on his back.

But the wording was 'someone', About 7 and half billion of us on this planet.... the guessing has only just begun...

In all seriousness, we can't afford to lose Sissoko right now without a replacement lined up, so hopefully this latest ITK is indicative of other things going on behind the scenes with regards to incomings.

For all his faults, and he has many, Sissoko is never lazy, and when we need a player to unglamorously and unceremoniously shut a game down in midfield and see us through to the whistle, he's one of our better options.

He also stopped taking calls from other clubs when we came in for him on deadline day - it's not too long ago that we tended to be the club on the receiving end of that, rather than the beneficiary.

Shame it hasn't worked out for him but I think we'd have given him a lot more leeway if his price tag had been, say, £18M rather than £30M - and it's not his fault that Levy chose to spend £30M on him. Good luck to the guy.

Happy with the Sissoko news. But as critical i've been of the man i still believe he can do a job. I believe he's an okey choice to have when we are trying to safe in a victory. When everyone's tired you put on the man and let him have a run, he'll make some tackles and do what he does best: make a woundrous mess of things. He will disrupt play with his enormous physique which is arguably his best (only) good feature and run down the flank with no purpose other than waisting time. Rather get rid then not but he still can be useful in some cases.

It's a shame because Sissoko's a good lad really, great attitude, hard worker, etc. but I can't get round the fact that replacing him would make me much happier than keeping him on.
