Zidane as director of football!
In FM maybe!
In FM maybe!
Dare I say it....
Dare I.....
Beckham?
I wonder what sort of 'Loyalty Bonus' we have to pay little old Luka to let him leave? You've always got to love that bit don't you - "Here you go Luka, why not have that £3m at the same time, as you didn't ask for a transfer..."
Apparently there's a song called 'Steffen Freund is a football genius', and he's the manager of the Germany U16s, and a spurs legend. Plus it's Steffen Freund. How good would it be if he came back? Possibly my all-time favourite player, which has nothing to do with how good he was as a player!
That's what I thought but someone just above just saidGotcha, so it was more a cryptic/tenuous link, than a literal. I feel dumb that I've just wasted 5 minutes thinking that one over.
Johan Cruyff?
How is Freund a genius? I'm not knocking him, just don't know whats genius about him?
Actually, if it isn't Pep (and it may not be), then I'm saying Ginola.
I thought all cryptics had to be based on colours ?
I'm not quite sure what Beckham would actually offer - or be capable of offering - in this role. I have a similar reaction to King 'suddenly' being capable of succeeding as a coach of some sort, and I have to ask myself where is the specific proof of aptitude. Anything's possible of course, but anyway hasn't Beckham always distanced himself from getting involved in this side of football? I think I'm being unfair and drizzling on sunshine, but really, isn't Beckham just a name? And can he negotiate? And can he plan? And would he want to do any of these things?not a genius by any stretch of the imagination.
Saying that, he'd be a ****ing great one if we could get him. Loved by the players, genuine passion and hard-work in the game, lifts our profile further and wouldn't cause problems in the camp. Only problem is he won't move from America
Based on what? I can't tie that in with any of the ITK to date.Convinced myself we're signing Honda.
