Why would Harry wanna sell Crouchie though

He wouldn't, and I'm willing to bet my left bollock he wont.

Unless Levy is willing to give someone like Fabiano 100K a week (we know this will never happen and perhaps for good reason) we need to keep hold of players like Crouch.

dont believe the Crouch rumours for 1 minute. How many times has HR signed Crouch over the years? Didnt he sign him for Southampton? Then Pompey, then Spurs! He played him above Pav last season so if anyone is to go then i imagine it would be him!

I wouldn't mind seeing Crouch sold if we could get a quality number 9 in first. I just can't see us getting anyone better though. Not in this window.

We were linked with Falcao in 2008, and again back in June this year. I'm sure we were reluctant a couple of years ago because of injury concerns, but now it seems he has got over that. Shame his value has over doubled now though. Could be a good replacement for Keane?

I was told today by someone who claims to have spoken to a former player at todays game that we are gonna sign Redamel Falcao. Cant really run it by my source until monday so I thought I'd just throw it out there as it were.

Is that something anyone else had heard?

I just had a butchers at what is written about him on the net and he does sound like a good fit. Not seen him play myself, but youtube definately does him no harm.

We were linked with him either last summer or the summer before weren't we? From what I remember we were pretty close to actually signing him?

Yeah, this is one who has been looked several times in recent years...and, just maybe, the fact that he hasn't been mentioned much is a sign that Dan Levy has been playing his cards closse to his chest, again.

Can't really comment on him as a player...just what I've read.

I think we're looking at two sets of players. One that will provide a significant improvement on an existing first team player, but we'll need a bit of luck and a lot of cash to get one. The others will be squad players and probably loans or other club's deadwood as they won't be too expensive.

It will be good just to see anyone come in, just to freshen things up a bit.

If it is Richards and Parker, i would sooner stay as we are

it's no wonder pool want Crouch, he's a good striker who was a key figure in us getting CL football this season

We shouldn't sell the big man, especially not to one of our main rivals. It won't happen anyway, because Harry knows that he is more valuable than many spurs fans realise.

agreed - harry has signed crouch more than once and again like liverpool for good reaon, he's a good striker

eg i doubt the young boys team will be able to contain him at WHL

and apart from the problems with the jabulani, i would have thought he should have played for england v algeria

I think we may well have had a very different World Cup had Crouch been given more minutes. Whether you're a fan or not, the guy knows how to find the net.

exactly - he was poorly treated, the only excuse i can find for capello is the jabulani and the difficulty our players had in crossing

before the jabulani saga i hd crouch down as a cert to play v algeria - he would have given them problems they couldn't deal with in normal circumstances i think

One week into august, and only 7 pages in SC ITK Chat for today!!

Surely that's got to be some sort of record?

ok fuck the magic 8 ball..

Interesting news 'spursandbarca'. At this moment in time I'd prefer us to keep Gio rather than bring in Huntelaar.

Not saying Huntelaar couldn't be good for us, but right now it seems like a gamble on a decent player hopefully about to return to form (Huntelaar), over a mostly unknown quantity possibly about to hit great form (Gio).
