Isn't that the point of loaning Coutinho? So we don't have to depend on selling Eriksen. The way I read the post from Herc is that we can afford 1 of Lo Celso, Dybala or Fernandes now but not 2 without selling Eriksen. So instead we'll loan Coutinho at the end of the window if Eriksen is still here.

However braced for disappointment as We have been in this situation so many times over the years when we try and make a statement signing and fail and the club trotts the same line out well we “tried but it was a difficult deal and we couldn’t quite get it over the line”.

What I never understand with that excuse is why leave it so late in the window... we all know they will be tricky deals so surely the club does the background research before making a bid and makes sure that it can overcome the issues such as image rights and wages and that the player actually would want to join us.

Absolutely loving this rollercoaster, from the doom and gloom yesterday to the much more upbeat ITK today. Certainly sounds as if the likes of JJ and VY are hinting at big things without saying more than they should.
