Why would we sign Leon Bailey when we have Moura, Sonny for starters?

Isnt baily similar to Martial/Zaha? Not sure we need any of them but we chased 2 all summer.

I won't repeat it in here for the sake of ITK, but I put forward my argument on page 3 of the Leon Bailey thread when someone asked the same.

Well in that case, why were we intrested in Zaha and Martial then?

They're all wide forwards...

I guess because they can play up front so offer a more dynamic alternative to Llorente who can't partner with Kane.

because he helped me win the league in FM18...thats why.

Exactly. He's quality but just doesn't make sense to put our eggs in that basket.

I guess in terms of Martial he's more versatile in a sense that he can play ST, which we kinda crave, but Bailey can't.

I agree - but Bailey is someone who could grow into that role, IMO - Zaha hadn't played that role until this season, I don't think...

Would Herc bring up Bailey if they weren't looking at him?

From what I have read, he really is an out and out winger rather than someone that could play as Kane's backup if needed like Martial and Zaha could. Maybe that's why he brought Moura into conversation.

After our last big signing of Sanchez, and now all the recent ITK suggesting we are going for really young talented players with massive potential - is this what Poch meant with his ‘brave’ and ‘crazy ideas’ interview?!

He has met Fergie many times, and he built his dynasty with a mega young squad.

I could be totally clutching at straws at this point.

But who knows any more...

Yep I get that - but Lucas Moura was used as a comparison and can't play up front...anyway, not that it matters.
