I could have sworn he said we had £150m to spend and later confirmed this figure would be clawed back through sales. Perhaps I'm wrong, been a long short window.

aahh good stuff, doesn't seem that long ago as we dreamed of 150 million (NOT INCLUDING PLAYER SALES) burning a hole in the pocket. Shopping at Harrods for Martial, Pulsic, Kovacic, Modric, Bale, Deligt, Bailey

Then real life kicks in and you realise its the same old spurs shopping at a closing down run down poundland, and we can barely purchase a 6 pack of near best before date virgin cola

None of this seems very ambitious going into that shiny new stadium. I thought we’d have gone for it this summer. Really feels like this team is stagnating now. We have some great players, the best team we’ve had for a generation. It’s going to really hurt if they fall apart now.

It was more in hope than in experience to think that way. No promises were made by Levy. Just a case of fans getting carried away with ‘ideal scenarios’.

Wasn't there ITK (I want to say Val Yid) a few weeks ago that stated that the bald headed guy in charge knows that this window is his legacy? That is what makes this lack of action during this window so unbelievable. It really is amazing that this will be it.

We are keeping all the great players and adding one (it seems), I would not call it stagnating. I call it building, though ever so slowly.

We've got a very good team. We've been setting the bar pretty high the last few seasons. Maybe Poch has learnt from last season where we looked a bit tired coming to the end of the season and has a plan for it. If he's not supported by Levy then I'm pretty sure he'd be looking to leave.

I can't see him thinking that way though after signing a long term contract and turning down Real Madrid. I wonder whether he's happy to add one player and is gonna promote some youth like Fergie did that time.

He said it wasn't reliant on sales several times and that was backed up by others. To be fair this statement did get diluted as the window dragged on and presumably it became clear this wasn't going to happen after all.

I think the point is that igijedi has previously ONLY posted ITK in relation to imminent announcements (signings, contracts, new kits etc.) - ie stuff that has already happened but not yet been announced. I might be wrong, but I don't think he's ever posted ITK about ongoing/future transfers before.

Pretty sure it was 150m and then any sales would be re-invested on top of that.

Either way, we’ve been led a merry dance by someone this window and it’s hard to swallow.

Of all the seasons not to bring in a marquee signing, go that extra mile, spend that extra bit of money, the club (so far) have chosen this season. The new stadium, the solidification of our top 4 status. I mean how could they not? What a missed opportunity.

I love how some people are actually managing to talk themselves into saying that no signings is actually somehow a positive thing and that Poch is content and has decided not to spend any money. Mental.
