window shuts at 5pm tomorrow
Right, but I meant DL probably won’t be leaving at 6pm today since it’s the end of the work day.
window shuts at 5pm tomorrow
I think at this point we should just go for it, see if we can get through the window with no incomings - it'd be like shooting the moon in Hearts.I’ve always been quietly confident we will get some deals done before the window closes, but I’m actually starting to believe that we will sign literally nobody.
Absolutely, but imagine an scenario where we don't let him go because Yanited won't let us have Martial. If they were prepared to pay, say, £50 to £60 million for him then not letting him go now rather than in 12 months would be very costly.Surely his value is only what people are prepared to pay for him?
I’d be highly disappointed - we’d be left way short in certain areas.I think at this point we should just go for it, see if we can get through the window with no incomings - it'd be like shooting the moon in Hearts.
Then that’s our call. And let’s be honest, not a Levy call.Absolutely, but imagine an scenario where we don't let him go because Yanited won't let us have Martial. I haven't mentioned Levy. It was just an observation that we could lose a lot of money not cashing in on him now. Then that’s our call. And let’s be honest, not a Levy call.
I agree, but we put way too much on transfers and signings and the drama of the window, at the end of the day, even if we make no signings, we'll still have one of the best, young, exciting teams in the league, full of players we (mostly) love.I’d be highly disappointed - we’d be left way short in certain areas.
I’m all for tradition so I’m still going to watch it in my pants with a beer and probably a tub of ice cream. Screw what people at work think.Going to miss my late night deadline day party tomorrow, Normally have TV to myself, a few beers and some foxes cookies. Is not quite the same with 5PM deadline. Can't see us not getting anyone or Manager will be pissed. Martial is best case scenario I think with Toby going out

No, we won't.Levy will buy a player tomorrow. He won’t not sign someone. Even if it means overpaying for Grealish in the end
No, we won't.
We're not signing anybody and I always thought that was quite likely at the start of the window. We just don't have the funds.
If we ain't gonna sign anybody, then I don't want us to sell anyone either.
Surely we'll need to sell somebody or else we'll be in the same situation in January.... IE needing to sell before we buyNo, we won't.

But would signing Martial improve our squad more than the loss of Toby at CB and not having time to replace him. Obviously it’s not that straightforward as what Toby has done to Poch in the past may be to big an issue to come back from.Going to miss my late night deadline day party tomorrow, Normally have TV to myself, a few beers and some foxes cookies. Can we stop with the building up jokes? Or do we really want to risk pissing off VY?
