I thought Donna was DC_Boy

:p

Edit: If DC_boy predates you, there was a sometimes serious, sometimes silly rumor going around that this was actually the case. In case, you think our POTL is Levy discussion from yesterday was farfteched.......it was just following precedence :D

Oh DC_boy and his unhealthy obsession with Jenas :)
I haven't seen much of Capoue to make any judgement, but if he can be a Phil Neville type player for us then I'm all for it

Capoue is a cracking signing.

Anyone thinking he's coming in to understudy anyone needs to think again, he'll be starting plenty of matches & has all the attributes to do well.

Very happy.

Whenever i have seen him play he really does seem to have the ability to break up plays (not unlike Scholes did) and can pass a ball through platted snot. A great buy if true, and one that will be here for a long time.

I'd certainly rate him for an automatic starter but the $64,00000000000000000000000000000 question is who the fuck get's left out? We have now officially cornered the market in attacking and defensive midfielders and can actually look at any other midfield in the PL (with the possible exception of Chel$ea) point our fingers at them and burst out laughing.

With the Beast still recovering fom an horrendous injury and Dembele`s ongoing concerns with his hip I think it will be a case of mix and match.

I'd hardly call 3 signings a revolution, it was clear we needed a Striker and a left winger, so no real surprises there.

OK Capoue is a bit out of the blue, but given our defensive shortage right now is actually an ideal signing.

I'd still expect a LB in before the end of the summer, but not much else assuming Bale stays.

I'd say that after breaking our transfer record twice, taking one midfielder from under the noses of Arsenal (who Liverpool were also allegedly tracking) and securing another great young talent today (if true) this is not only a revolution but a clearer indication from the Club that we have the intention of becoming a top four side for the foreseeable future. Add this to the fact that we have one of the best training facilities in Europe and a new ground about to be built and i'd say it's a revolution and a fucking great big sort of one at that.

Ettiene Capoue has the potential to be world class and with the right people behind him he can go far.

So having the likes of sandro, paulinho and dembele around you will come as a huge advantage for him in terms of his developing.

Ive always rated Capoue and to know he may well be in our squad is excellent news.

Literally all we are missing is a CB and that David silva, cazorla type player in that middle of the park. And we will definetly be capable of challenging for honours.

I still think Lewis Holtby has the potential to be our playmaker, he has all the attributes to be the player that makes everything tick.

Either way it certainly is good times at White Hart Lane. Still cant believe we got Soldado lol unbelievable signing :)

Agree with all, but we need to upgrade the LB position too imo

Dzagoev would be a great signing. I'd be happy with any one from Dzagoev, Douglas Costa, Andre Ayew or Jordan Ayew. (Better still, bring both brothers to the club.) Obviously a lot of this would depend on how many, and who we let go etc, etc.

I thought Dzagoev didnt want to leave Russia hence the reason no one has tried to sign him. I am also very skeptical about russian players in PL no mater how good they look. Obviously he is a talent but still would much rather go for Willian. Now that Bernard has gone to SD, where there are already 100 young talented Brazilian midfielders, this could be his shot at ousting him from the Brazil squad and replacing him if he makes a move to a top club in a top league and has regular playing time... all of which we could offer. Hope we hear some positive ITK on him in the next few days.

At ths point, I'm ecstatic with our summer business, but if we were to somehow get Coentrao squared away as well, then I'd be errrr, slightly more than ecstatic !

If we get Coentrao and keep Bale I am convinced that we will be title contenders (injuries permitting) :) I can still see us bringing in another striker as I think one of Ade or Defoe will be offloaded.

In case what I'm saying gets misconstrued as ITK bashing, I'd like to state for the record that I think it's wonderful that people, some of whom actually do seem to have real connections to the club, pass on their info to other fans. Having seen the influence of ITK's wax and wane on a variety of forums over the last couple of years, I think that what a lot of the people who bash ITKs take real issue with at the end of the day is not so much the ITKs themselves, but the people who leap on everything they say as absolute, one hundred percent gospel and read a huge amount into it.

For instance, we were tenuously, momentarily linked to Song and Sanchez from Barcelona-- queue dozens of posters falling all over themselves to put together lineups with Sanchez/talking about how they think Song is a bad signing because of his Arsenal connections. ITKs say we're in for someone from the Dutch league? "Hey everybody, we've signed Stefan de Vrij and Toby Alderwiereld! Good signing, bad signing? I haven't seen him play but he looks like a good signing. Top class for me."

A trend that's come up this summer is people looking at quotes-- not made-up speculation, or mindless paper talk, but hard quotes from, say, Andre Villas Boas (the manager,) and questioning their accuracy because it contradicts an ITK. "AVB said we're not in for Bernard? Oh, well a guy posting under the name 'Gazza's Fake Tits" said Bernard is coming, so I think it's still on." And so on and so forth.

So the problem, then, is not people posting as ITK, it's the people who don't understand how to read their posts.
