at the last moment, in a much less turbulent window, when fees were lower, they will not sell for less. They have sold lots of players and balanced their books. They may dig their heels in and wait till January.

Spot on, but my point was as soon as this window closes his value effectively drops off a cliff, Everton aren't going to let that happen.

This thread is for ITK, it's NOT for media stuff, all of that goes in the players threads. It's always done so and we're going to carry on that way.

Do you know what? I don't know what's more boring. This transfer window, the people spamming this thread, or you just not banning people and reitterating your angst at people spamming this thread.

In my opinion, there is little point in this thread even being open unless there is ITK in the read only to comment on.

From past experience with Levy, and the info the ITKs have given to this point, it seems we gambled on putting all our efforts into getting Keita and it's inevitably backfired on us.

Coupled with selling out first choice right back, Rose throwing his toys out the pram at the worst moment and Levy gambling on leaving Barkley 'till the last minute (seemingly our only remaining first choice transfer), we've put ourselves in a very precarious position late in the window. We usually do that, but this year it's been even worse than usual.

i guess this is Levy's way of rewarding Poch for achieving our highest ever PL finish...

They'll let it happen if the offers they get this summer are deemed not high enough. Anything lower than £30m I imagine would not be enough even on the last day.

I wouldn't be surprised if we leave it until then, agree a deal, and then have Chelsea or whoever nip in and take him, specifically with the intent of leaving us with nothing.
