Personally I'd like to see a back up striker to Kane (also to provide competition for our golden boy in case the inevitable happens and he has a rough patch) a wing forward who could also be used as an out and out striker if needs be, making him the third choice striker (although I think Chadli could also do a job up top when needs be too). Finally a DM to partner Nabil that will fit perfectly and offer balance to the side. Job done.

He would have no interest in coming here and sitting on the bench

Plus he would not gel with Kane no way, we need a striker that can work with Kane, Austin is a throwback to the 80s

Who could we attract though that's real competition to Kane and happy to sit on bench? I guess a WF who can play through the middle but i think we need both - Replace Ade, Lennon and Townsend with a CF and WF.

I've always liked Benteke but again he won't want to be second fiddle and I prefer Kane through the middle.

3 names I'd consider are Timo Werner, Paul-Georges Ntep and Wissam Ben Yedder. I have no idea if we are in for any of them though.

I'll be dissapointed if we don't bring in any experienced players. Still think Palace have pulled off a massive coup in signing Cabaye.

Also, I think it would be a mistake only buying forward players with raw potential. Fine for a third striker, but I want our alternative/competition to Kane to be someone ready now, not in a year/2 years time.

We are desperate for someone with real pace, someone with potential or experienced. We have to offer an alternative or an addition to work alongside Kane.

So I added up my pledges. $10 each for Trippier, Wimmier, and Alderweireld plus $5 each for selling Paulinho and Capoue.

Converting $40 Canadian to Sterling...carry the four...lemme grab my calculator...hm...it seems it comes out tooooo

Sweet fuck all. Or otherwise known as

£10 thrown in to the wishing well. If I don't wake up tomorrow as Yanet Garcia's g-string, OFCOM will be getting a sternly worded email

Agree. We are desperately short of pace in all areas of our attack, unless you count Townsend, who I don't consider good enough anyway.

I'm all for pressing the opposition in their half, but you need to be able to counter attack effectively and we haven't done that in a long time.

ASide from some really awesome donations coming through for the greater cause type posts, this is surprisingly quiet in here considering yesterday will go down as a history defining day for Spurs.
ITKs need to get back on the ball and qualify why Mr Levy was open to answering positively about any further forthcoming transfers in.

getting Charlie Austin would make my day.

My 5 year old son is called Austin and he thinks it's the best thing every hearing his name when the football is on. Now if he was playing for us I would be less at risk at him supporting another team.

So yeah...this needs to happen for my son's future loyalty.

I'd like us to sign Austin, think he'd be a quality signing, can score all types of goals.

also I hope your son was name after Stone Cold..!

Agree on pace. All 3 players I mentioned above are very quick, pacey players. I think Timo Werner would be an excellent buy personally. His game is very similar to J-Rod from what I've seen.

You could always rename your son, it's never too late. I personally think Alcácer TaoistMonkey and Werner TaoistMonkey have a nice ring to them.

What the hell is this Charlie Austin thing now? Has there been ITK on him or did we go off the rails again?

Good stuff from grey fox!

I dont like the MS situation, his heart is for united, if he joins he will always be looking to go at the first chance, not a player to build a team with.
