I almost don't want us to sign him if it turns out that he's been the problem all along with his demands turns out to be true - he deserves to be stuck in limbo.

It's not the end of the window yet, as you know, so i'm not stressing too much.

I've also been a Spurs fan long enough to realise that whatever my wishful sig says has no bearing on what will actually happen.

People also forget Brad's age... he's gonna hit a wall at some point, when this happens on the 1st October i can see some of the same people who are not bothered about getting a new keeper now moaning that we didn't sign Cesar when we had the chance....

I am hopefully Levy, Ade, Llorente, Johnson and Moutinho all parachute out of a helicopter into White Hart Lane (in a Queen and James Bond style) and all sign on the dotted line at 11:59am and 53 seconds!

He'll certainly expect it, that's for sure. But then so will Ade, it does make signing both of them seem highly unlikely for more than one reason.

No reason why we can't play both in the same team. Ade is versatile enough to be a wide forward IMO.

Agree, unless we get Leandro and Llorente or similar we do need Ade but we are just getting rid of Modric and Ade is already looking like the next problem child. Ideal would be Leandro plus Ade on another loan to be replaced in Jan or next summer.

Damn it! I'm on my phone and so can't see Brasil spurs' sig.

I don't get the Siggy = Kranky stuff.
Ok, so he takes Kanky's squad place but that's all, he's a better player and will play a lot more. Therefore, I see it as a massive upgrade - kranky hardly played and when he did, he was hardly a key player IMO.
Player for player comparisons are pointless really, it's more about the squad dynamics.

The way I see it is this:

We are after 1 striker as because of our formation we'll only be able to make 1 happy (unless we get a younger one).

So, It's one of Adebayor/Llorente (we can afford him, whether he wants to come is a different matter)/Leandro

We need a midfielder. So it's one of M'vila/Moutinho/Cabaye (AVB playing press games)

We need a Right forward. So it's one of Hulk (we can afford him, whether he wants to come is a different matter)/A Johnson.

We are not desperate for a keeper as Friedel would do, but, Lloris would be a nice to have.

Budget before Sales: £50m
Sales: £20m
Modric £30m
TOTAL: £100m

Jan V: £12m
Sig: £8m

TOTAL: £20m

£80m left - Moutinho £27m, Llorente £18m (last year of contract), Hulk £35m

But I am sure we can generate more money from sales. So, an increase in the above prices is feasible.

This is just my view.

Still 10%, you're right. We will not want to trigger the additional amount for appearances I guess unless we're sure we want to keep him!
