In terms of experience maybe, but he's a deeper lying player by nature, likes to intercept the ball and drive forward on occasion though.

I would like Rabiot, but when we need a holding central midfielder and our squad lacks leadership/experience...is Rabiot really a man to fit plan A in terms of targets over players like Schneiderlin, Kramer etc?

It's a tough one, someone like McCarthy would give us more experience and defensive protection from the get-go, but Rabiot definitely has a higher ceiling. If it wasn't for the sublime Verratti he'd be a regular for PSG IMO.

Possibly a bit left field, but today is 30 June when most clubs have their financial year end, not normally of interest to fans. However with a number of clubs having sanctions levied on them by UEFA, some of these need to sell players by close of play.
So DL might pop in a bid or two to clubs where we want players to see if we can do a quick deal. Would be nice if DL tested the water at Monaco (who still need to sell players) with a bid for Martial (who was a Plan A player). Long shot as to whether it comes off though

Has anyone actually seen Rabiot play? He is far better than anything we have in that position. If he signs, he will go straight into the first team.
Also worth considering that with Bentaleb reportedly refusing to sign a new deal, whether he is too similar to Nabil may not be so relevant.
