How can anyone say our defence is a lot weaker, we only lost Tripps and everyone moaned when he was in the starting 11 last year. We haven’t replaced him but all the players that should have started before him last year are still here so we might not be stronger, but weaker, nah.

I think Aurier could be fine. I really do, I just don’t know If Poch wants to give him that chance.

I think the Pochettino hasn't played him angle is only part of the issue, Aurier hasn't been fit for a lot of the time he's been here. Including right now.

Poch talked about having another five year project now that the stadium has been completed and this window will give him the foundations for this project.

Just look at how many players we now have who will be coming into their prime years in the next five years - Lo Celso, Ndombele, and Sessegnon to join Dele, Winks, Foyth, Sanchez, Skipp, Parrott, KWP.

The rebuilding for the next project has not been completed - the defence is ageing - but it’s been a great start.

I’m really optimistic about the future.

I didn’t watch them weekly, but I’ve seem him with my own eyes 15-20 times and I can assure you, he’s hugely talented with a very Poch-friendly work rate and determination. As soon as we were linked, I wanted him most, even above Ndombélé.

I am personally not disappointed re dybala debacle. I think son,Moura and lamela are enough to share the minutes available. What I would have liked to move aurier out and signed some decent rb who has is not injury prone. I wonder why didn't we tried for cancelo.

All in all a good window; if at its start I’d have believed that we’d bring in 5 new players (?notts county kid) I’d have been sceptical. Solid players; no ‘ let’s hope they work out’ types. Maybe in jan we’ll renew the full back positions? If Eriksen goes then FairPlay to him - rather everyone is onboard. Would love to know how Poch is feeling right now

Could say the same about Ndombele. The pair of them have the ability to get out of tight spaces and attack from deep with the ball at their feet. I really can't remember having that type of option since Gazza (and there was only one of him).
