Hadn't previously considered it because he was so far off the radar, but I have to agree with the poster above in wondering why the fuck Gomes is still at the club? Would be very interested to hear an ITK's view on this: seeing as he will never play for our first team again, surely giving him away for nothing is better than paying his wages while he's contributing zero? Hell, even giving him away on a free transfer and paying half his wages at a new club would be a better alternative (50% of his current wages being cheaper than the current 100%) if we have no intention of ever using him, right?

Unpopular I'm sure, but I like that 2 young players that went out on loan and did well are being rewarded with a go in the first team, Rose and Townsend.
Why have a youth team and buy young talent if we don't bring it through. Home grown or through the ranks are what we all really want, and it shows the likes of Carroll and Pritchard that by being at Spurs you can make it, rather thanspend a few years on loan and get canned.

We got mental money for Bale. They got mental money for Ozil. We've always hoped Wenger wouldn't become arch hypocrite but we knew the money was there. Finally they've pulled the trigger on a cracking player but really at 85m for Bale you have to deal. We've not been dicked by Madrid we've got a world record fee. For a player who was striking and becoming unprofessional. We've rebuilt much of our squad with that - which will require time to settle. Luckily we've started with 6 from 9pts. Much better than last year. If it all goes to shit re: CL we've spent sustainably so won't need a fire sale. We've signed Lamela ffs...it's not a conspiracy by RM it's the goons having a ton of money and having to finally spend to appease fans. Pretty unrealistic to delay Bale until the last minute nobody (us or them) would want such a huge deal to be so tenuous at the last minute. Hope our squad will grow together now we have some real talents. Sure the now now now crew will still be full retard for weeks..

*sigh* the RM deal is beneficial for both clubs. It´s not about exchanging players. Transfers still normal procedure. Fact is Real payed over the moon for Bale. Fact is we held the deal back for a long time although Real wanted him to gel into the squad a lot earlier. Fact is the RM players we were after didn´t want to come to us. If we were in RM´s position do you think we would have pushed vertonghen for instance to Barca if they offered more and he did not want the move to RM, even on loan? Give me a break.

The relationship is about first and foremost commercial and marketing right, coaching, and developing players. RM is THE biggest club in the world based on history, fan base, developing players and a lot more. We can only learn from them.

I don't get this negativity about Rose. Last season people were begging for him to be brought back from loan and he was widely being touted as the answer to our full back woes. Now suddenly, a handful of games in and he's not good enough.

That's puzzling enough but what baffles me even more is do the people that lurch from one extreme to the other really actually not realise they are doing it? It's something I just can't comprehend. Do people not stop and think, just for a minute even, something like 'hold on here, i'm now saying exactly the opposite to what I was banging on about last season?' Realise they talk shit and make an effort to actually be a bit more sensible? Maybe modify their approach instead of lurching from one popular knee jerk opinion to the next?

Actually, after typing that it hit me. I used the word 'think'. If only one or two of you could see yourselves. Fuuuuuuuuck me.
