Well I never moaned about Jenas anyway but match thread post game is embarrassing sometimes
In the match thread you have to make allowances for people posting with emotion off the cuff and not thinking it through properly

I can see this thread is going to get locked in a minute and archibald-c running around with his rotating bashing thrusting dildo at all the guessing with en players
Not sure there's much point in locking it. I did that yesterday to make it clear there was no cryptic and guess what?

So bollocks to that, i'm just going to save myself the irritation and cull anyone who proves he's dumber than snot.

Sorry I don't think so

I'm not saying I know what it means - I have just come into the thread, but I don't think it is a typo.
Sorry, but it is. It's explained a.couple times in the thread ...

i cant think of a player worth over 40m who would even be approaching being a realistic Spurs signing. On that basis im going to disregard that bit of ITK if its all the same.

Could see some last minute shenanigans for hernandez/ince/baines.

In some respects i am unsure whether we havent reached the limit of the amount of squad upheaval we can maintain whilst not having to write off a shit load of the season 'in transition'.

Morning wrist-slitters

Well that fucked the mood up didn't it?

All of a sudden we realise Wenger was right all along.... We really aren't going to overtake Arsenal no matter how much we spend. Our best midfielder is probably out for the season, Chadli bottles it going forward even though he's an attacker, Soldado can't play football unless he's facing an open goal, Paulinho is just a silky Palacios, Lamela is lighter than an angels fart and our captain is so painfully out of synch with the rest of the team and modern football in general he looks like a hoofer from the 70's.

Well of course that's all bollocks. (OK I was only half joking about poor old Dawson and I truly am gutted about Capoue).

But we have to face reality. Arsenal WILL strengthen today and probably with a player(s) that will make us jealous and make them stronger. It's going to be a tougher season than we thought as our team obviously needs time to gel and still we have to find that creative link between midfield and attack without resorting to easy "it's Eriksen/Lamela so don't worry" responses. We need to sort that position with both the right player and system. Other injuries will happen, other defeats will rock us and not everything will go our way. Even watching Modric play frankly wonderfully yesterday makes me fill a bit sick today.

But.

We have a wonderful group of players who in the coming months will form an incredibly powerful and effective team. We have the best young manager in football. We don't have an ageing dinosaur clinging on to past glories, running the club simply to achieve mediocrity, convinced he's right on everything and a myopic view of football more blinkered than a shire horse in 1860's Sheffield.

Yesterday hurt. Yesterday really fucking hurt. It took the shine off the window and made us question everything in the same way that on Friday everything in the world was flowers and rainbows. All I read on here yesterday after the game was "well we've actually spent no money, Levy's a tight ****" etc etc so I just logged off.
We've lost our best player, our talisman, our game winner. But what we've done, regardless of net spend, is we've gained a team and in time we'll all realise how much better we will be for it. And whether it takes a week, a month or a year, the future is ours brothers and sisters, you've just got to believe.

Spoke to someone yesterday at the club, same person who told me Eriksen was a done deal and he was pretty sure that all of our business is done, hate to disappoint, (this next part is my opinion >>) I mean anything can happen on deadline day but it looks unlikely to me.

I think that whatever happens today it'll happen later in the day. I suspect that with the Bale transfer finally going through and our bumper day of signings on Friday, today we'll be resetting and starting again transfer wise.

I hope we bring in a striker and a left back, and I wouldn't mind seeing another creative option if the right deal came along. But having experienced a number of deadline days previously, the general trend is that if you aren't close to someone on the last day (i.e. there's been a lot of links previously) then it's a bit of a struggle.

I don't expect anything major, or anything out of left field. But we shall see.

A long shot quality striker on last day? Hmmm... I like the sound of it but remain beyond cautious. How many clubs are going to sell a top striker on the last day of a Transfer Window (other than us - Berbatov ...lol).

So I shall simply say, great if it comes off, but am certainly not going to be getting hopes up this year. I shall refrain from the guesswork as to who it might be, have an inkling, but hey.

Before fans turn on them? Did you see matchthread yesterday :-( apparently Chadli is rubbish, Paulinho new Jenas and Dembele always been not good enough. I wonder if some if these 'fans' remember the 90's or started 'supporting' when we got 4th..

The Match Day Threads are always full of bile and spite if we lose, I was thinking more about the boo-boys from last season. There's a big difference between bile on an online forum and actually booing your team.
