This is what i am thinking. If we are interested in him, it would to buy him now.

In no way would Blackpool allow his contract to run......It would not make good business sense.

Furthermore as i said, Ince senior is the manager there. He would need to answer to the Board of Directors if
that happen (Running the contract for cheaper sales in Jan or for free next summer).....

It's posturing from the player.

If he knows the clubs he DOES want to join will only pay £5m for him - but Cardiff or someone he doesn't want will pay £15m?

He can just sit on his hands until Jan, then move for £3-4m.

Player has all the power.

Nightmare for Blackpool really.

There are two key questions that must be taken into account before we analyze what we'll do today.

1. Do we have money to spend on more recruits?

2. Do we have areas where the manager feels the first team needs improvement?

For me, the answer to both is a resounding yes. We were prepared to spend an additional 20 million pounds to what we paid Ajax for Eriksen (on Willian), so bringing in someone like Arda Turan (release clause 20 million pound release clause) is entirely realistic if AVB fancies it. The left-back situation clearly needs addressing. BAE has been completely frozen out of the squad, and with his injury issues, he needs replacing. There is just no way Danny Rose can be nailed on first choice left-back with very little competition for the entire season. He's a quality player, and will be valuable member of the squad, but if there is a deal to be done to bring someone else in, I expect AVB will want it done.

The same thing goes if Adebayor is sold. There is no justifiable way we can go into the rest of the season with just Soldado and Defoe as our sole strikers. That leaves us perilously thin up front again, and without a traditional target man as an option.

there will be no £45m signing

no on really thinks there will be do they?

well, I wanted to.....

but no...

However this is Spurs, this is Levy and Uncle Franco, this is deadline day and we've just had a little windfall

Plus AVB is still sniffling in a corner after yesterday and needs cheering up

For me deadline day is all about watching Arsenal fans sweat it out as they get outbid for all their targets. A new LB to us would be a bonus to a great transfer window. ;)

But Chadli and Lamela can play as a lone striker or second striker, AVB has stated as have ITK's that we are looking at players that can play multiple positions, down the left is were we are short my onion.

The other thing I wonder about is whether Levy still feels he owes AVB at least one signing he really craves. We had ITK that Levy was willing to take a chance on Willian to reward AVB for his past performance, so perhaps we'd be wise to think of players Andre has fancied in the past (if I recall correctly, JJ stated about a year ago that AVB's list last season consisted of Moutinho, Willian, Hulk & Damiao, who were all deemed too expensive then).

I've had my suspicions that Damiao has been done for a very long time. Last minute announcement for effect.

He said he's happy at southhampton, I think it would be a great signing for us if we were to pull it off and I think it would be a deal with a lot of Add ons. £8m and £4/5m in add ons maybe.
IMO. More like 12/15mil plus add ons , then we would have LB sorted for at least 10 years.

who then? there are not that many £45m players on this planet

and certainly not many that would come to Spurs

would have agreed with you a couple of months ago but now who knows. we seem to be pulling in some pretty heavy hitters. lets not forget we'd have Willian now if Jose wasnt shitting himself over us

IMO I really don't see us spending 45million on just one player. I believe 2 players for that price - a LB and a Striker
