Although this year is different, I can see why transfers are left until the last minute. Its like leaving revision or tasks until the night before the deadline! You get a nervous excitement and your mind suddenly works in a different gear! Fail and face the consequences...pass and you look like the daddy. Levy is the daddy.

Either outcome today and we'll be ok! We've grown the team organically in recent seasons and done very well against the big boys. Were living within our means and for me i'm proud of how the club has done in the 20 years I've supported Spurs. Exciting times ahead for sure.

Alternatively, Arsenal just helped us fund a quality squad rebuild by blowing most of their budget buying one great player for a team than needs 3-4 other players.

Ramsay and Wiltshire were supposed to be the next big thing, who's going to make way for Ozil?

Wilshere & Arteta supporting Walcott, Ozil & Cazorla funding the actual-pretty-good Giroud is better than our team.

I'm honestly furious we've allowed this to happen.

When factoring this in you might want to consider wages on top of transfer spend, it won't be a profit then!

It will the wage bill has hardly changed - Gallas £60K, Bentley £50K, Parker £60K, Bale £75K, Dempsey was on surprisingly big wages as well.

Lamela is only on £66K, Soldado £67K, paulinho £70K, Chiriches & Capoue relatively small and Eriksen accepted less wages from us than higher wages at PSG.

I think the Jaw Dropper has just joined Arsenal. Can't think of anything more Jaw Dropping the Ozil unless Falcao is seen driving up Tottenham high road later!

This being JJ's last day, I feel his last post(s) will be something huge.

Even with Ozil our first 11 compares with theirs. The battle between the 2 teams will continue again this season. Ozil is a great player but so was Fabregas and Van persie and we pushed them close then as well.

If AVB came up with a list and we got everyone we could from that list then we can't complain. JL's money would have gone towards Willian and Coentrao and not signing them wasn't/isn't for the lack of trying
We're still at minimum a LB and a striker short. That's the bare minimum. We can't go into the season with Rose being the LB and BAE being sold or loaned or whatever. We can't go into the season with only Soldado and Defoe as strikers. All indications are Andre does not like Ade but it is difficult to sell him. If you are happy with that - great. I am not.

How utterly galling - Arsenal spend an entire summer faffing around in the transfer window, with no discernible transfer strategy, then sign Ozil on deadline day, who is almost definitely available because we've sold Madrid our best player. That's so Tottenham Hotspur. The worst thing about it is there's nothing we could have done about it.

Are you from the future?

So Ozil has agreed to go to the scum for 50 million - what the actual fuck, why have we a partnership with Real if they are making them bastards stronger

There are very few out-and-out strikers that can play across the front three; Benzema, Lavezzi, Martinez, Mandzukic come to mind.
